Feeling a sting of irritation that Katie refused her help, and that Ranger was now in her way, Clara stood up, glad her good was still covering her now upset expression. Ignoring the stallion, she pushed past the big horse and glanced at Mirza. Before saying anything, the Tavern owner and a woman bursted in, seeing Katie leaned against the wall.

They exchanged worried glances and the woman seemed to go pale. "Terry, no," the woman said to the main, and Clara immediately associated the Tavern owner as 'Terry.' He pushed past Clara and Ranger, and kneeled down beside the unconscious girl. Terry glanced up at Clara, who awkwardly stood.

"I think you've done enough," He said slightly, ignoring his tone. The woman said nothing either and Clara scowled. Seeing to that her assistance was no longer needed, she turned on her heel and began to exit the barn. Might as well go look for more clues, Clara thought, heading back towards the front of the tavern.

The blood trail was now dried, and Clara approached the first splatter. It hadn't dried and Clara kneeled to look at it. She remembered the vague direction it disappeared at, and grasped her crossbow. Looking at the tree line, Clara stunted forward, her left hand holding the mahogany stock.

If the attacker was smart, he would be long gone. Clara ignored the fact that she might get herself killed if it was till lurking just outside of town, but she needed evidence. Avoiding the mud, Clara began to walk very quietly past the trees. The forest was silent. Nothing made a sound, and the tension was easy to notice.

My crossbow is to clunky, I need something more close quarters. Hanging her crossbow, she pulled out the silver dagger, and sneaked deeper, observing scratches on the trees. Clara remembered the day her father was attacked, and the scratches the bears left to mark their territory.

The marks were not like this. They were sideways instead of diagonal, and the force seemed to be so strong it caused splinters. There was hints of blood in there grooves.

Mirza stood still as Terry and his wife came in to the stable. They rushed to Katie's side. Mirza looked away. Family. Made him sick. His face tightened and he closed his eyes. His father only ever cared that his son was famous and skilled. He never showed any true love or enjoymant in his child. Mirza was simply another thing that the Sultan owned. His mother was never around. She frequently vanished off into the city or out on trips to the mountains. She always had a full schedule and never had time for her son. Like wise his father never had time for his mother.

He pushed the thought away and looked to Clara, who had proceeded to leave the barn. Mirza followed and watched silently, his arms crossed. Mirza was never much of a tracker. He was never meant to have to hunt down prey like the Hassansins who taught him his skills. He let Clara do the leg work. She stalked into the forest, carefully placing her feet so as to be silent. Mirza did the same. He was very light on his feet and just as silent. It brought Mirza back to his days in Al'Rasheed when it was just him and his blade. He had to be silent and sneaky. He had to steal. It was the only way he couold avoid the Hassansins and still manage to live.

The night was still bright and the air was still. The forest made its usual noises seeming as calm as ever. Clara moved cautiously glancing at marks on the trees they passed. Claw marks. Mirza was unsure if it was from whatever did this to Katie or if it was just some forest beast marking its territory. He followed none the less.

He looked to his companion once more, whom had slung her crossbow and drawn a dagger. Mirza gripped Therafim. He wondered of Clara's skills. She too looked young; Younger than Katie even. Surely someone of her age was inexperienced, but then Mirza himself was a champion duelist at her age.

Mirza was a good ten feet behind Clara. He whispered "What do you think?"

"Get the bag, red root and wine" Terry said. Tina ran to the cabin.
"Oh katie.." he placed his hands on her face. Tina soon returned with red root and some wine. terry took the supplies and mushed it up and placed it on Katie, a couple minutes past.

No response.
"Katie?" his eyes began to water, he got ready to place his hands on her. Katie shot her hand up and gripped his wrist.
"Stop Touching Me!!" She screamed. The red root kills the infection right away and begins healing, as soon as it touches the wound. Katie let out a soft sigh, the stinging was going away.

"We though we was loosing you.." He looked at her.
"Funny." she snarled then stood up.
"Katie-" Terry started.
"No no, im going inside and walked out. She spotted mirza and let out a sigh, then spotted Clara.
"If yall give me a second ill track it." she walked in the Tavern, she took a quick bath then got her normal cloths, which tina left on the rail to dry.

"eh, still wet." she shrugged then walked back out. She had her hand on her stomach. It was gonna leave a scar, and she knew it. she stopped in the doorway, she inhaled and closed her eyes. she then walked up to the blood site. She keeled down.

"ow..." she whimpered then dipped her fingers in dark blood and did a circular motion with her thumb and index finger.
"Its...." her eyes widen.
"its a mixture of blood, definitly wolf... a bit i dont know the rest." she walked over to her companions and looked at the tree. she placed her hand on the claw marks. she ran her nails along the marks.

"Not a bear.... or bruce... haha definitely not bruce" she let out a chuckle. her hand still placed on her bellly. She looked around, then whistled. Ranger galloped over.
~Yes?~ he looked at the others then at her.

"Go track." she looked at the ground. Her night vision wasnt that good she could make out shapes but not know what they were. Ranger nodded and walked beside the tracks. into the dark. Katie smiled.
"Thatta boy"

Clara ran her fingers over the claw marks. The grooves were to deep to go unnoticed. Whatever it was, it ran in panic, Pulling down her hood so she could see better, Clara heard footsteps, and then Mirza whisper at her. Tucking her hair away, she revealed a slightly pointed ear, and pulled her gaze away from the grooves and over to Mirza who stood a bit a way. "I'm stumped," she sighed.

Turning back to the tree, she twirled her blade while she thought, and then shaking her head after a moment. Clara glanced at a neighboring tree, but the trunk was unharmed. is it leading us on? Clara needed more evidence, just this splintered tree wasn't enough. "It's strong, whatever it is. No bear I've ever seen can claw halfway through a tree trunk in one swipe."

Clara looked down at her feet, eyebrows furrowing. No struggle, no signs of blood. Before being able to comment on it, twigs snapping widened her eyes. Looking up at Mirza, and then the surrounding trees and shrubs, Clara braced herself tightening the grip on her blade. Katie and her horse walked into view. Clara relaxed her grip and walked away from the grooves silently.

Looking around the area, Clara couldn't find any sure signs of fake trails or much else. Clara stood up straight and sighed, rubbing her forehead with the back of her hand. It just didn't match up. A sudden attack, and then peace so soon? Looking down at her blade while she let her mind roll over her theories, she tossed it in the air slightly and caught it. She needed books.

Mirza crossed his arms and stood from his crouched stance once Katie arrived on seen. He was surprised to see her back on her feet so quickly. Her wound was greivous, or at least as far as he could see. He was posotive that it would be at least a week before she would be back to full functionality. So to see her moving through the forest was quite remarkable.

The night was growing later and Mirza grew impatient. He needed to find the kidnapper and take him out. Clara mentioned it wasnt a bear, that it was strong. Mirza up to this point believed they were dealing with a man, but now Mirza was thinking a monster. He knew the forest was full of them and he knew that many were intelligent and evil. He looked to Clara.

Clara appeared to be as clueless as he was. He turned to Katie, who was actiavely speaking to her horse. Once the beast took off Mirza spoke, his impatience was evident in his voice.

"So." he paused " What did you see? That is, what attacked you?"

katie held her stomach. then straigened up as Mirza walked over.
" its hard to say, it wa built, stood over 8 feet, hairy..... and" she paused.
" green eyes." she turned and looked at him.
"glowing" she looked at him. studi g him for a second longer then she should of. she then shook her head and hear a loud whinnied. Ranger was cantering back. he had a half arrow in his mouth. Katie looked at Mirxa again and smiled
" my tracker" she walked over and took it from the horse. she looked at it
" he ran.... straight ahead. then ripped it away" she looked at Ranger.
~ripped it out when he was by the white tree~ Ranger looked behind him. katie walked back to the blood, which was starting to dry. she knelt down and smelt the blood. she closed her eyes.
" definatly wolf. like i said before but there a hint to it i can describe. " she got back up. she was confused.
" we have to travel in te morning." she looked at Clara. very young girl, but probably would do damage with her beloved crossbow. Katie smiled softly at her theb looked at Mirza.
" its free and ill pay for anything." she pointed back to the barn where ranger then took off that way and she entered the tavern. she went up in her room and sat on the bed, the door wide opened.
" who where you?" she had her hand on her belly.

Katie seemed to be in a better mood, weak, but better. Clara nodded, and sheathed her blade. Clara headed back to the Tavern, the small two story building still warm with a lit fire. Terry was back, and the woman was nowhere to be seen. Unsure if there even was a library anywhere, Clara glanced around, noticing a round piece of wood hung up on the wall. Throwing knives were stuck in the wood, and she couldn't help but feel intrigued. Figuring it would pass the time, Clara walked over to it.

The throwing knives were double sided, and the iron glittered under the dim light. There was ten there, enough for two players. Wanting to try it out on her own, Clara removed all the knives. Making sure Terry wasn't going to kick her out, she glanced behind her to see him distracted. A grin already spreading, Clara stepped back. It the academy, all of the cadets were allowed to practice their skills with one another. Clara had a friend who threw knives, and he had only taught her so little.

She placed the thin, sharp weapon between her thumb and finger and aimed. The last time she had shot at targets was in front of that General. This will keep me busy, and with one good throw, the knife twirled and landed in the semi circle. It wasn't quite a bullseye, but it was pretty accurate. Lowering her arm, Clara couldn't help but stare at it, for a moment. Placing the stack of knives on the table beside her, Clara out two in each hand.

Im probably going to make a fool out of myself, She thought with a satisfied grin, ready to take on the challenge. After a moment, she aimed at the board. Focusing on the middle, she bit her lip and chucked the first knife, and then the second one seconds later. Both landed somewhat closer to the bullseye. Clara tilted her head slightly. There's no way my aim is improving, picking up another throwing knife, she threw it without aiming.

It indeed was closer than the last, and Clara raised an eyebrow. She grabbed another. Hardly aiming, she threw it with great force, watching the double sided blade spin rapidly. It didn't bullseye, but still it was so close. Looking at the five already on the board, Clara wondered if she was just imagining this. There is no way I can make my aim that advanced, Whatever it was, Clara threw the remaining knives and sighed.

Every single one landed just outside of the bullseye. Sighing, Clara shook her head and chuckled. Just some luck, and she sat down at a table, glancing at the board silently.

Mirza laughed as Clara threw her knives. He was dissapointed that they decided to wait another night to find the claw beast that plauged this place, but at least Clara offered entertainment. Katie had gone to her room and dissapeared for the night and Mirza was not quite ready to sleep yet.

Mirza had snagged himself some more mead from the bar and now watched the knife show. Mirza was never one for throwing knives. If he needed range he had his Siyah and if it came to a duel, Therafim was a blade of legend. This didnt mean that he did not appreciate the skill however, many Hassansins in Al'Rasheed were skilled in knife throwing.

Clara's aim was impressive, despite her lack of a bullseye. He wondered of her skill in a melee. Was it as impressive as her throwing skills? He walked over to her.

"Very well done." He claped his hands softly "Curious though, how do you fare in a close up fight? Care for a duel?" he asked.

Katie remained in her bed, just listening to the sound of knives hitting the target. Katie wanted to go down and play, she was very good at throwing things, including knives. She laughed a bit. she remember the one time that a young man refused to leave her alone and she walked away got a knife and threw it at him and pinned him to the wall.

Katie got up and slipped off her cloths. she got a cold shiver, she then opened her drawers and pulled out a maroon tank top and black shorts. she let out a sigh and laid in bed. her mind began to flutter around the room.

" i cant sleep" she whispered. she flipped out of bed then walked out and leaned against the railing. she smiled at Clara. she was actually liking these people. she spotted Mirza and her smiled widen .
" oh clara dear watch out for him" she teased.

After going to sit down, Clara heard clapping. Unaware she was being watched in her act, she looked up at the bemused look on Mirza's face. He complimented her accuracy, in which she smiled at him. "Thank you," she said with a bit of a smirk, brushing the hair out of her face. Thinking that was all he had to say to her, 'duel' echoed in her ear. Looking up with raised eyebrows, Clara laughed.

Katie had made her way downstairs as well, because she stood by the railing of the stairs and was smiling. Pulling the crossbow and placing it on the table, she unsheathed her knife. "I suppose," She said, twirling it casually, watching it reflect what little light there was inside.

Clara wasn't sure how it was going to go for her, as he had a sword and she had a knife. Instead, she nodded towards the front door, her emerald eyes just slightly sparkling with the smallest bit of excitement.

Walking towards the door, Clara passed Katie. "Oh, no worries." She said mischievously, disappearing out the door. She walked to a open area in the road. It was foggy, and it gave an interesting feel to the scene. Exhaling, Clara took a few swipes at the air for good measure, and stood patiently, waiting for her opponent. This should be interesting, she mused, chuckling to herself.

Her mind fluttered back to the thieves guild for a moment, remembering all the criminals who would laugh when she'd say she was an assassin. Her melee skills were good enough to take any unclever fool down, but she still needed plenty of practice.

Mirza stepped out into the night. He had Therafim drawn and casually held it at his side. He stood directly across from Clara who took a few swipes with her blade. It was an exceptional blade, but not quite a Therafim. He looked down to his weapon. Therafim was a very special weapon, it made the weilder comfortable in any envrionment and could cut through the air and create wind slashes. It could hurl balls of flame and create wind walls. It truly was a remarkable weapon. A weapon of legend. Despite all its magic properties Mirza most liked the weapon for its light weight and strong grip. He loved the way Therafim felt as he swung it and preferred not to use its magical abilities. Infact when it came to a duel, he left magic out of it and let his skill with a blade and the sharpness of Therafim do the work.

He smiled as he took his stance. The starting stance of the Raks'Almawt was one of subtlety. Meant to begin the dance of death with suspence and grace. He lifted his chin and spoke "No lethal blows, no cuts, pin your opponent. Three pins wins." He lowered his stance slightly. "We begin in three, two, one."

Mirza lunged. He dashed in a jagged motion, making his legs hard to read. He brouught his sword arm in close as he approoached. As the distance closed he swung. He aimed low, this was not a blow meant to win or pin, he was testing her.

Katie smiled softly. she watched the two go out, she walked over to the bar, and took some pink wine. She took a sip and then walked out after the took. Her stomach growled loudly.

Oh i forgot... i havnt eaten since... today is wensday... ah sunday. she thought to herself. she walked out to see Mirza dueling with Clara
"Go Love!" she smiled at the two then walked over to where her deer was hanging, already gutted and skinned. She narrowed her eyes.

One of the legs was missing.
"Interestin" She touched where the limb was ripped off. She felt something sharp. She yanked and out came a 3 inch tooth "Wow" Her eyes widen in excitement. She looked at the tooth then at the two over her shoulder i'll show em later she put it in her dress pocket and cut off a beautiful slice of meat.

she walked past the two again and into the kitchen. she grabbed some salt, garlic and homemade butter. She got a pan and put the butter in it and put it over the fire.

She started to cook the steak in the pan. she sprinkled salt and garlic on the steak, then a little bit of secret spices. The smell was full of flavor and absolutely mouthwatering. She smiled at herself. Her stomach clawing at her insides.
"Food.."

Clara stood there for a moment, watching Mirza and what his first approach was. He was quick. First to pin three times wins. Narrowing her eyes, she waited for his first strike. From safe, it would've looked like Clara was stunned, but that was hardly the case. He aimed low, and she wasn't able to decipher his fighting strategy, but Clara twirled slightly. Hardly dodging the blade, she grinned and turned. He moved quite gracefully, but deadly all the same.

Twirling her own weapon, she lurched forward, and slashing for the chest. She was careful not to hurt him, but he seemed agile enough to avoid her blade anyways. It was actually a splendid idea, dueling was always enticing. As she moved towards him, Clara could feel her cloak start to billow off of her. That could be bad, she thought, moving away from her lunge, and taking a careful step back. She watched her opponent, wondering if strategy or improvising would do her justice.

Her mind flickered to the courtyard back a few years, when she was in training. They'd pair up the cadets and have them fight. Noticing she had distracted herself, her pupils dilated, she waited for his next move.

Clara moved well. She had dexterity about her. This was good. She twisted and avoided his blow. Impressive. She counter attacked. More Impressive. As his dance continued he slid around her blade and reached out with his open hand. His sword hand twisted Therafim's hilt around, bringing the weapon into a reverse form. His open hand found Clara's cloak and with his steel gauntlet he gripped it tight. He swiveled his hips and threw the weight into his shoulder and down his arm. He pulled her in close and brought Therafim to her neck.

His face was inches away from hers and his eyes had turned from his playful self to that of a warrior's. His light blue eyes met hers with intensity and a smirk stretched across his face.

"One pin." he said softly with confidence.

He drew back onto his right leg and shoved his weight into her. He released her as he did and leapt backwards. He landed softly on the damp ground and twisted Therafim back into its natural form. He shifted into his ready stance, his sword held high and his free hand held low.

Clara tried to be her clever self and avoid Mirza's second strike, but his skill was definitely one to match. Stumbling to try and miss his hit, Clara felt herself being pushed down. Gasping, she felt a cold blade touch her throat, but only slightly. Bright, playful blue eyes stared into her surprised emerald ones. Wow, okay. Wow. Clara stared right back at him and grinned.

"Alright, nice one." She said, lifting herself to stand. Clara couldn't help but have realized she underestimated Mirza a little, but she wished to score at least one pin. Relaxing, Clara flipped the blade watching any movements coming from the corner of her eye. I should pick up a new tactic, Clara thought casually, staring at her silver knife. She lifted her head. Mirza stood, ready but relaxed.

She scanned him for a moment, trying to take in all his possible moves. The days of courtyards and King's Army fighting wasn't enough. Although Clara never learned much from the Thieve's Guild, it just might be enough to knock him on his feet. Let him strike first. She grinned again.

He circled her now. She stood ready. He had caught off guard. Despite this he could tell that she had more skill than her face showed. He stared for a moment stepping to the side. She was waiting. He grinned once more. Mirza stepped one at a time, his left leg swinging right and planting itself softly before his right leg. His right leg was next as he swung it left and planted it accordingly. He gracefully approached, twisting and twirling Therafim as he moved.

The moonlight seemed to dance with Mirza as it brushed onto and off of Therafim. Once he came just within range of both his and Clara's weapons he spun himself around and brought Therafim in from a high point. His strike was a vertical slice and his free hand followed the blade ever so slightly.

Clara kept still as he began to circle her. She was sure to keep him in her vision, enough to see his next strike. With her cloak pooled by her feet, Clara couldn't help but feel exposed. Her ash blonde hair caught what little breeze their was. Her eyes flickered to her left, catching movement. She griped the handle to her blade tighter, half smiling. The tip of her silver blade curved, and the serrated edge met with it. It looked sinister. On both sides had symbols carved into it.

His weapon gleamed just slightly, allowing Clara to turn and counter his blade with her own. It collided with a clang. The two weapons had stopped very close to her, and she observed the blades. Using the momentum from her counter, she pushed off, and carefully stepped back. Before catching her stance, she lashed out again. Clara twirled between her two blows.

A parry. The clang of metal on metal pierced the air. Therafim had met her blade and greeted it with warmth. He recoiled back from their contact. She reacted quickly, adjusting her stance and coming at him with a counter strike. Two quick slashes. One cut air and one cut cloth. His jacked tore as the tip of Clara's blade ran itself across his stomach. He wasnt sure if she expected him to dodge, or if she actually meant to eviscerate him.

Mirza recoiled from his dodge motion. His free hand hit the ground to brace himself as he leapt in reverse. He brought Therafim in low and pushed from his heels. He thrust forward and made a wide powerful upward cut in Clara's direction.

Katie finished her food. The mouth watering sent filled the Inn. She cooked some green beans with it then sat down at the table. She gently picked up a fork and knife an gently cut into it. She took the first bit and smiled.

Success. The meat and greens exploded with flavor as she cheer and swallowed. She cut into the meat some more, her poor stomach greeting the rich food.

She finished the meat and started in the beans. A thought popped into her head. Her hand went down to we dress pocket. She pulled it out and placed it on the table. It was 3 inches long and as sharp as a steak knife. Interesting she thought. She studied it as she chewed the green beans. She looked at the two, Still dueling.

" I won't interrupt." She lifted her glass of pink wine. She sipped it. Raspberry and black berries. She smiled softly and finished her meal. She stood up, leaving the tooth on the table. She walked over to the bucket of water and placed the dishes in it.
" excuse me"

Katie turned and looked at the man. 26 years with shaggy blonde hair.
"Yes?" She swallowed.
" another" he slammed the glass down. He was drunk and wayyy over the limit.. For him it seemed.
Katie looked at him, she looked like the bartender.
" oh I don't serve.." She started to walk away.
The man got up an followed her.

" how bout some company?" He said slurring his words.
" uh no." She responded. The man walked over to her and gripped her shoulder, instinctively she turned and shoved her knee into his stomach , dropping him to the ground, he grabbed her ankle and Katie lifted her foot to his chin.

" off" she snarled
"Naw" he growled.
Katie let him have it, she put her foot down then lifted it quickly hitting his jaw with her foot, cracking it.
" now go home!" She yell at him as her scrambled out the door.
" drunks" she walked over to her table and looked at the tooth.

" what are you?" She asked herself

Seeing that her last attack had cut some material, she winced. A bit too agressive, she thought, grinning apologetically. Her moves made him step back, and Clara slowed herself. Twirling the blade, she watched him come at her again. He took a blow at her, and she wasn't sure how to counter with just one blade. Realizing she had taken just a split second to long to react, the sword came for her. Clara's eyes widened for a minute. She felt something knock into her shoulder.

Not having any other choice, she urged her feet forward and slid away a few feet, feeling the material on her knees and legs start to shred. This is going to be a lengthy fight, she thought with a smirk. Clara's hair was now a mess, wild and out of place. Blowing a strand out of her face, she chuckled. Clara was positioned on the ground, one hand stabilizing her, and her two feet planted in the ground— ready to pounce. Her right hand still had grip on the blade.

As she watched Mirza, she thought back to her final mission, the attack on the Thieve's Guild. None of her last jobs were even remotely fun. A simple duel was the most excitement she was getting in a while. Wherever Mirza hailed from, he was skilled and giving her quite the fight.

Mirza felt his blade make a cut. Clara's reacted in time to avoid the majority of the blow, but she wasnt quite quick enough to avoid it entirely. Therafim sliced slightly into her shoulder garment. Mirza followed his weapon and flipped backwards, making one full circular motion. He landed with his free hand out front and his eyes locking onto Clara.

He stared at her a moment. Light Blue meeting Emerald. Her face was intense, but it had a ahint that she was enjoying this duel. As he studied her he could see a set of yellow eyes behind her. His face shifted from a warrior's to curiosity and his concentration wsa broken.

He observed the eyes. They were attached to a hunched over figure sitting atop a house. His golden eyes watching the dance between Clara and Mirza. Mirza's mouth fell open and he let his guard down.

Katie took the tooth and studied it. Her eyes wide and she
Jumped up.
" oh my gosh " she ran out the tavern over to the two. The blackness blinded her and she almost stumbled.

" it's a wo-" she was cut off from the glowing yellow eyes. She choked. Her whole body growing cold, a fear ,creeping up her back then anger grew, heat flooded the girl.

" you son of a bitch!! Where's Alex!" A gut feeling told her the yellow eyes figure took Alex. Katie let out a growl and started to go forward, ranger peeked his head out and ran over quickly blocking her.

" ranger!" She growled, the horse refused to move. Protective mode came on. Katie lifted herself onto the horse and toppled over. She looked like a deer thrown over him. Her eyes narrowed and a flicked of green cracked threw the yellow eyes.

It was there for a split second, then gone. Her heart stopped....was it him...
"Trevor?"

Clara was ready to counter once more, but she watched Mirza lose his focus and something else catch his eye. She could tell it was no trick, and slightly turned her head to see what he was staring at. At first, Clara saw nothing, but slowly, she stood up and lost her defenses to see what the matter was. There was a glitter of light in the darkness, and Clara squinted.

The door to the tavern bursted open, and Clara turned her head in surprise, to see Katie standing there, clenching something. She looked in the same direction, yelling. Clara turned to see eyes now, and it was clear that something was watching. "Could it be...?" She exhaled, wanting to get her crossbow, and get it now. Ranger sped towards his rider, and Katie mounted.

It was starting to become chaotic, and Clara wanted to help bring this monster down. Turning back, Clara looked at the Tavern for a second, debating if she should go get her weapon. Shaking her head, Clara looked back. "I'm going to get my crossbow," She said urgently, disappearing to go grab her beloved firearm.

The tavern was empty, as expected. Dashing through the tables and chairs, Clara snatched up the mahogany and gold Crossbow. The glint of throwing knives caught her eye, and she took four, hoping they might be of use. Walking back outside, Clara tried to locate the yellow eyes. It took a second, but she found them and sheathed her blade. "We should go after it,"

Clara said, hanging the crossbow on her back temporarily, and fiddling with the throwing knives she brought along. Whatever had been watching them was either hiding or running, and they would need to move fast to catch it.

Mirza stood for a moment. He ignored Katie as she burst through the Tavern door. This was it. This was the monster. Its head meant 300 gold tomorrow. He wasted no time. Clara had ran into the tavern and came out saying something, but it went in one ear and out the other. He bolted.

Mirza leapt onto a barrel and up onto a building. He lost track of everything going on around him. It was time to hunt, in the fassion that the Hassansins hunted and not this towns pathetic meaning of the word. To the Hassansins a hunt for a beast of this sort, or for a person of skill, was called an As'sayd. This As'sayd had begun and nothing would stop Mirza from getting his gold.

The beast immediately noticed his persuer. It bolted in the opposite direction. Mirza followed. Mirza leapt across building tops and as the beast reached the forest he leapt from tree to tree. Mirza was slightly slower than the creature, but managed to match its dexterity. The two were moving at a high speed and Mirza was surprised at his ability to maneuver through the trees. It was like Al'Rasheed, dashing across roof tops and down twisting structures.

Mirza eventually lost sight of his prey. Mirza continued in the path that he believed the monster to have been moving, but found that the trail went dead at a final tree. Mirza leapt down from it and looked about. He was deep in the forest now. He could not see the town or Katie or Clara. The greenery sparkled in the moon lit night. Trees rose high and moss seemed to grow on everything. It was then, that it dawned on him, that he was back in this cursed forest which he loathed.

Everything seemed the same here, except one tall rock that appeared to have a draft coming from it. He approached it and brushed aside the mossy vines that fell down across what he thought was just a rock. As he did so he found a cave. It was dark and smelled of something fowl. Mirza turned his head away as the horrid aroma entered his nostrils. He pulled his scarf up and poked his head inside.

The cave went deep. It was moist and he could see foot prints leading in and out of it. He started to step inside and then something stopped him. An ambush. He guessed that the beast had led him here on purpose; That perhaps it had something prepared. He decided to wait for Katie and Clara. Mirza took a few steps back and crossed his arms.

He would have to approach this with caution.

Katie growled and flipped off of Ranger. She ran quickly before the horse could stop her.
"Try n Stop me!" she screamed at ranger, who just rolled his eyes, she then ran up the wall and gripped the lowest oak tree branch and hauled herself up. She was crouched on the branch for a second... only a second before jumping from branch to branch, almost as if running. Her speed and agility was fascinating.

Ranger looked at clara and nickered
~Follow~ his eyes sparkled, he then turned quickly, turning on his heels and took off galloping. he jumped over the hay wagon then followed to where katie had went. He looked up to see Katie's black figure leap from tree to tree. He smiled and pinned his ears galloping over to the log. A huge gap in the trees was clearly visible, Ranger flicked his eyes to the dark log. he pushed off his hind legs and started to fly. Katie looked down to see her paint push off his hind quarters, his muscles rippling under his painted coat. Katie saw the clearing and jumped to a high branch.

her hands gripped the branch and she flung herself. Ranger was in mid air and was stretching out his front legs when he felt something land on his back. Katie felt herself meet her horse's back. She leaned back and hugged her legs to his sides and gripped his mane. Ranger landed and continued , he soon saw a shape and stopped. Katie jumped off his back and rolled on the ground her bow drawn. She was ready t let go when she saw the familiar outline. A strong... handsome looking man.
"Mirza?" she whispered. a strong sent hit her then. her nose cringed. Death her eyes widen.
