Chapter Two

Post by Mirza on Mon Aug 18, 2014 2:22 pm

Mirza had just finished giving Anta a bath. He witnessed Katie do the same for Ranger some time prior and decided that it would be fortuitous to give his mount the same treatment. Turns out the camel hated water as much as Mirza. When Katie bathed Ranger, the horse seemd to thoroughly enjoy it. Anta actively fought Mirza everystep of the way and at one point the camel and himself ended up in a mudd puddle. It was at that moment that Mirza decided he'd rather fight a moss golem than bathe this stubborn beast.

Mirza brushed himself off and sat against a tree. He was unsure as to the where abouts of Clara and Katie, but he liked his alone time. The last month or so had been an experience unlike anything Mirza could have imagined. He had taken on the role of town guard. Only for this month, but in that time he had saved half the town and threw a few drunks out of Terry's tavern. He even won a duel against a a big Viashino named Corus. Most importantly he had made two great friends in a young ranger named Katie and an even younger assassin named Clara. They were heroes here in Farwyn town. Mirza threw his hands over his head and took in a deep calming breath. He had finally found somewhere in which he felt as though he belonged.

Today was his last day in service to Tuvera, who turned out to be very kind, and he was to meet with the Vedalken wizard some time in the next hour. Clara and Katie were to meet with him as well. He would give them their final payment and release them from his services. Mirza decided he would wait a bit and enjoy Farwyn town for a little longer.

He hadn't really thought of where he would go next. He had learned of the great citites of the Arkose empire. Talc in particular was one that stood out to him. It was said to not only be the largest city in the empire, but more trade was conducted there than in all the Arkose lands combined. He wondered what it was like. Perhaps it would be like the bazaars of Al'Rasheed.

He started to drift off to sleep when he heard a scream off in the distance. Mirza jumped up and grabbed Therafim, which had been leaning on the tree he was resting against. He took off running in the direction from which the scream had come. As he ran he couldn't help but think that the past four weeks began with a similar situation. A scream and then blindly dashing to investigate. He smiled as he drew Threafim from its sheath.

Surprisingly he was the first one on the scene, but what surprised him even more was the large group of riders that were stampeding into the town. The scream had apparently come from a woman who witnessed one of Tuvera's hired guards take a spear to the chest. Mirza was a bit taken back by the sight as well. Mirza froze for a moment as they charged in. He could not accurately gauge their numbers, but he guessed at least a dozen. He stood in the center of the road with Therafim drawn. This was going to be interesting.

OOC: They are hired woad raiders. There is a sorcerer/black dragon shaman with them. He is bald and has tattoos on his head, most notably of an insect. this would be familiar to Mirza, Katie and Clara.

A scream shot threw Katie's head.
" really people!" The girl groaned as she placed a feather pillow on her head. She then threw it off and sat up slowly. Her broken ribs still stung at each moment. Her fractured arm was better. Her bruises on her face, legs, torso and arms where gone, her small scraps and cuts where healed besides the gash on her cheek which was still takin it's time to heal.

Katie held her side as she walked over to the dresser and pulled out a  beautiful red blouse. She slipped it on an a pair of black pants and her black boots. Her cloak was waiting for her as she grabbed her bow and began to walk out the door. She swung on her cloak and made her way down stairs.

A feeling then shot threw her. That scream finally caught up to her. That scream had fear in it! Katie's eyes went wide and she jumped over the railing of the tavern's second floor.
" kat-" Terry yelled as she ran out the door. She was still healing and if there was a fight there was no way that Katie could possibly win.   Katie ran over to Mirza and looked at him then followed his gaze, she quickly drew her bow and growled, her eyes narrowed. But her usual steady stance was shaky from her ribs that decided to send a shock threw her.

Easy girl, she thought. Keep it together, you got this!
A body lied in front of them, a man with tattoos covering him caught Katie's eye
"A... A dragon.... " she couldn't finish her sentence. She read about these guys in books and scrolls. Shaman's were powerful and  where loyal to their dragon masters! A question hit her hard
" why is a shaman here?" She whispered, her bow lowering a bit...

Re: Chapter Two

Post by Metallicar on Mon Aug 18, 2014 6:23 pm

It had been a month since they had destroyed the Werewolf, otherwise known as Trevor, and last seen the powerful woman named Severa. Their month of service was practically over now, but Clara was still so accustomed to her duties that it had become habitual. It had taken her weeks to replace the parts on her crossbow, but she'd recently put the last piece on it, and it was great to have her father's Crossbow working again. It had been quiet since the return of the missing townsfolk, minus the occasional traveller who got to drunk to handle. Clara's job had been boarder patrol, to watch for suspicious entities or people. Of course not many suspicious looking people targeted Farwyn, but Clara still did it everyday.

Today felt like any other day, except for when the screams echoed from inside the trading hub. Clara was atop her mount, which she'd recently named Estelle. The silver mare's head shot up, and Clara's head snapped in the direction of the screams. That was not a child's play scream, or one of the many exotic birds of the forest. Quite the opposite, in fact. With set determination, Clara snapped Estelle's reins once, with enough force to startle the horse into movement.

"Hiyah!" Clara shouted, leaning forwards in the saddle just slightly. The young assassin had most definitely picked up on Katie's horseback commands. She raced into Farwyn, finding the source quickly enough. Estelle's reins were yanked back, Clara causing the eager mare to halt. Her front hooves kicked out in response, lifting herself onto her hind legs slightly. Clara had her crossbow aimed, bolt locked and loaded. When Estelle landed, Clara's vision focused on the problem at hand. The first thing she notices is the all too familiar insect tattoo on the top of a man's bald head, and Clara's breath hitches. That's from the labyrinth. It's got to be.

She can already see Mirza and Clara a few yards apart from her, and it calms the young assassin to know the three of them haven't lost their edge. Her emerald eyes drift back to the creepily decorated man. There's no mistake that he's somehow related to the labyrinth. Is he a hound of Severa's? He's not like the people Clara saw in the Thieves' Guild. No, this man doesn't hide in the dark, he is the dark. Clara shivers, keeping Estelle in place and lowering her Crossbow slightly. The figure practically screams dark magic, and the air is crackling with tensity. No one else is moving, and Clara would be damned if she thought charging this guy was a good idea. What was he after?

Some townsfolk had gathered behind Clara horse, clearly fearing whatever had caused such a sound. The victim, which had a sickly looking spear protruding out of the chest area, was a haunting image of what had just entered the small little town. It had been a quiet month. Just one month. They were supposed to get their rewards not to far from now, and Tuvera would finalize their work here. Clara didn't think things were quite finished here, after all. The young assassin urged her horse into a walk, stopping behind Mirza and Katie. The townsfolk kept their distance, but they might get hurt if they stayed.

Unsure of what to react to first, Clara sat atop Estelle, poised to attack. Her cloak had been fixed a while ago, and it clung to her shoulders, fluttering off the sides of Estelle. She had bought new armor, silver plated. It was lightweight, but strong. The new pieces Clara had bought for her crossbow had added a silver hint on the weapon, instead of the classic gold it used to have. Not only that, but she'd been practicing her hand to hand combat from time to time— nothing spectacular. Clara glanced between her two companions.

"Who is he?" She asked lowly, the insect flashing in her head. He had to have a connection to Severa.

Re: Chapter Two

Post by Olrick Stormgard on Tue Aug 19, 2014 9:00 am

There had been a call for help some time ago from Farwyn. A call that had gotten the attention of the Stormgard order. Ser Olrick himself was sent ahead to guage the situation. Upon arriving he could tell the kind of strife the town was under, though it seemed that things were being dealt
with. Olrick had sent his report and was now awaiting further orders.

He had only been in town for two days, never having to don his armor. That is until today. There was a scream off in the distance and guards rushing towards the disturbance. Olrick wasn't far off and he was surprisingly quick to put his armor on and ready his shield. The weight of the armor would have a lesser man struggling to move quickly at all, but Olrick had trained in heavy armor since his first days with the Order.

Olrick wouldnt wait to see if any of the guards would jump in to fight the circling raiders. Instead he pulls his horn from his belt, bringing it to his lips and giving a large blow, the resulting sound a surprisingly deep tone that rung out loudly over the scene. Again he didnt wait for confusion to receed as he dropped the horn attached to his belt by a chain and shoves a civilian out of the way of an incoming spear, his shield being planted infront of him, the spear all but shattering against the steel bulwark. With a scrape of steel the bastard sword at his hip lashes out, burrying itself in the flank of the riders mount. As his training dictated, he did not press the attack but planted himself where he stood, even as the beast before him fell, crushing the riders leg beneath it.

Re: Chapter Two

Post by Niro Celeste on Tue Aug 19, 2014 11:17 pm

Niro Fumed. The tall dark elf in darkly grey cloth strolled mindlessly through the small town of Farwyn. His mind raced; his anger could not be abated, not even the chilled touch of his Seers Stone in his grasp calmed him. His recent fight with his Master, Tuvera, had been the worst yet.

Niro was still upset that the recent protection of the town, Tuvera relented to a group of teens, instead of the "Experienced" wizard apprentice in front of him. Niro could not explain it, but he had an undying motive to protect this village and its people. Maybe it stemed from not having a family, and these people treated him like he was a relative; he adored these people. Tuvera exclaimed that how could an Apprentice protect a village and also study the Arcane, Magic comes First. Niro of course answered he could easily do both, which prompted Tuvera to increase his studies and tasks incredibly for the next month.

Niro had finally managed to get some free time, and roamed the small village. The cool air brushed easily through his long hair silver hair, putting Niro at ease somewhat.

Niro Sighed deeply, He wished his brother Nevan was here, at least he'd have someone to vent-

A Sudden bloodcurdling scream cut Niro from his thoughts. With the Scream, Niro heard the thunderous sounds of hooves.
"A stampede?" he thought, As he rushed towards the commotion, pocketing his Seer Stone.

Niros's hood and and cloak bristled behind him as he finally reached a road near the center of the Village.

Before him was an astonishing sight. Bizarre even.

Dark clothed men on horses pranced in the road, Niro's sharp eyes counted 14. Each had some kind of rough archaic looking weapon; sword, axe, or mace. One of the men, Bald had nothing in his hands, and seemed to at the epicenter of the horde of savage looking men. The small trinkets and designs the men tickled Niro's mind, as if he's seen or read about these symbols before. But Niro, ignored this, seeing the non moving towns folk gathered before the horde, curious and bewildered.

Niro pushed quickly to the front of the dozen and a half citizens, yelling to them to leave.

"Get to safety, Now!" he relented, "Go to your homes!!," He added. He had his back to the horsemen, speaking to the crowd. They seemed transfixed on the sudden arrival of these men. Niro could not get their attention. As he was about to speak again he felt a distinct depression in the air; the hairs on the back of his neck started to raise up, and he felt in all too familiar sensation.

Magic.

A dark bolt of electricity ripped through the air near Niro, tagging the closest townsfolk in its destruction. The Bolt jumped between the three citizens, frying them alive. They were dead before they could even scream. They slumped to the ground, each cooked inside and out. it was not a pretty sight. Or Smell.

This immediately got the citizens attention and what happened next was pandemonium. Townsfolk ran and tripped over themselves, hurrying to get away from anymore destruction, screams and cries could be heard in all directions. Panic had hit Farwyn Town. Niro only blinked, one second, the three citizens were there, the next, gone. He swallowed hard to rid himself of the rising bile he felt building, he wanted to puke. His eyes stung, He wanted to cry. But the responsibility and pride of protecting his people came first. He bottled his emotions as tightly as he could.

Niro turned to meet the owner of the spell, it could only be the hairless man in the middle of the horde.

He was correct. The Bald man grinned devilishly at Niro, he face on the verge of laughter. The horsemen around him shifted uncomfortably, as if afraid of the sorcerer in their midst.

The Sorcerer had murdered three members of his village. He would make him pay. Niro's eyes scanned the rest of the scene, the townspeople all gone, all that was left was the horsemen, Niro, and the "infamous" town guard. A lone knight in silver armor stood tall, he incapacitated a lone rider that gotten too far ahead of his pack.

Niro's hands reached for his side, his arcane materials at his waist. He silently readied a spell, and waited for the sorcerer to make his next move.

He called to the others, the young guard, the young women and men.

"The Sorcerer is mine, Take the Horsemen!"

Re: Chapter Two

Post by Mirza on Wed Aug 20, 2014 11:22 am

"The Sorcerer is mine, Take the Horsemen!"

Mirza turned to see a pastey elf standing there. He had a terrible expression on his face from what Mirza could tell. He was dressed in black and did not seem armed. Mirza didn't feel like letting anyone get hurt on his account, but he played along. Mirza smiled and waved his gauntlet.

"Whatever you say big guy." He said as he looked to Katie and Clara. "No idea, but I dont intend to ask a lot of questions." Mirza said confidently in response to Clara. "I'll distract them and you two pick them off."

Mirza dashed forward towards the group of horsemen, who had moved from an organized to group to random inidvidual raiding. Mirza ran towards the closest one, Therafim drawn and held behind him. He lept into the air and spun.

"Barra Sarsarun!" He shouted as he swiped the air with his scimitar. The blade cut the wind and made a sharp whistling sound. A ripple in the air formed as his slash traveled at the nearest horseman. The ripple met the man's body and cleaved him in two. A long blood trail followed the spell until it dissapeared a few yards behind the rider.

Mirza landed on his feet and threw Therafim to the side to balance his landing. He stared at the rider's lower half as the horse it was attached to turned tail and ran. Mirza's mouth dropped open. He had never used that spell on a person before. He knew that it could cut trees and small animals, but he had never seen a man cut in half before, let alone from his wind slash. Mirza decided that he would have to be more careful in the future. Gore wasn't Mirza's thing, thouogh he had gotten over throwing up after seeing it long ago.

Mirza looked up to see a rider coming from his blind side. He had been too taken back by the damage his wind slash had done to notice one of the riders approaching his flank. A heavy mace came down and met Mirza's left shoulder. Pain immediately shot through him as the blow knocked him from his feet. Mirza hit the dirt hard and groaned as he reached for his shoulder. Mirza dropped Therafim on impact and the dirt around him had been kicked up enough so that he could not see where it had gone or how far he was from it. All Mirza knew was that his shoulder felt dislocated, maybe broken. The pain was too much to tell. He looked up to see a second rider closing with a spear. Mirza rolled to one side and narrowly avoided imaplement.

Post by Undead4ssassin0 on Wed Aug 20, 2014 5:50 pm

This small little gathering that happened soon turned into a fight...horses snorted and raced towards people. A man with armor charged into the view and elf appeared and he made it clear he wanted the shaman to himself.  Katie drew her bow again and a she was about to fire, in the corner of her eye she could see Mirza fall. Katie turned her head and stared in shock, and with out paying attention her bow was knocked from her hands...

A man smiled on his black horse, the animal snorted and stomped it's feet. It's rider laughed as he made it rear and charge at Katie. The girl froze. Fear planted her to where she stood. Just then something went between her legs and just like that she was moving... Moving fast.

"Wha-?" She looked down to see black and white and below the ground was blurred.
" RANGER!" Katie eyes opened white as she realized her mighty steed had came!  All of a sudden her fear drained and she smiled as she grabbed his mane and tapped his side to turn around.

Ranger pinned his ears and turned sharply around. He felt katie relax and become normal again. His eyes searched the ground for her bow. He smiled a bit as he spotted it. Katie looked back at the rider who chased her
" what is with men and chasing women!" She smiled as she then slide onto ranger's side on leg on his back an one hand on his mane. The smooth red oak now slide into her hands. She lurch chef up back into place. A sharp pain a went threw her. She fell forward into Ranger's neck. Her eyes clenched shut as the pain soon settled down.

Damn ribs, Katie thought to herself before sitting back up and turning around to face the rider.
" Leave me alone you sick bastard!" Katie drew her bow back and let go of her strong which sent a black arrow spiraling threw the air and going straight threw the riders neck, threw his windpipe and out the other end. The man's mouth shot open as he grabbed his throat and fell off his horse.  Katie looked around and saw Mirza still on the ground.
" ranger go!" Katie kicked his sides and races over to him.

The stallion snorted as he slowed down.
" need a hand?" Katie bent down an despite the pain that was in her sides, she offered him her hand. If she could get him on Ranger maybe, just maybe he would have a better chance at cutting people's head off....

Re: Chapter Two

Post by Metallicar on Wed Aug 20, 2014 6:10 pm

Clara watched in absolute shock as a large, menacing man with thick armor rushed into the fray and brought one of the many soldiers down with a heavy thrust of his blade. The pained whinny that escaped the mount was practically the moment when everything broke out into chaos. The dead townspeople made the blood drain from Clara's face. Then there was another, an elf with the instruction to leave the Sorcerer for him. Clara wouldn't deny him that, surely. Then Mirza was speaking, and Clara gave a curt nod to show her understanding.

And pick them off she would. The amount of action going on around Clara was dizzying, but it didn't take long for one of the enemies to target her. He charged with all intent of getting a devastating blow and knock her off Estelle. The young assassin was no fool, and was quick to unsheathe her silver blade and counter the larger man's attack. His eyes were cold and lusting for blood, and she shoved him back with as much force as she could muster before bringing her crossbow forwards and shooting a well aimed bolt into his forehead. The man stumbled before collapsing onto the ground, and Clara looked up to see Katie and Mirza paused in the midst of battle, and an enemy charging valiantly for them, sword arched in the air.

Clara fumbled for the throwing knives she never quite returned to the tavern, but Terry had never really asked for them back. She threw it after a few seconds, knife landing just below the man's jugular. He slowed, clearly surprised with the random attack. Clara would not allow her comrades to get hurt— not if she could help it. The man still stood, straining to lift his sword and continue moving, but Clara loaded another bolt on her silver accented weapon and fired, making a satisfied noise when the enemy crumpled to the ground.

The sorcerer still stands in the middle, watching the chaos with an all to pleased smile. The young assassin stares at him, a sickening feeling rolling through her stomach. Clara just had a feeling that lightning wasn't the only thing he was going to unleash on them. The grunts were lacking on defense, and as big as they appeared and as menacing as their weapons looked, Clara was able to pinpoint many weaknesses with her amateur combat skills.

She charged for another man, switching from her crossbow to the silver blade again.

Re: Chapter Two

Post by Olrick Stormgard on Thu Aug 21, 2014 8:53 am

Four men down and it still seemed there was no end to them. Olrick had hardly seen them go down, his focus locked in place, effectively making him a wall between the attackers and those few civilians who hadnt run away. it seemed most of the attention was on Olrick, too.

The towering knight faced down the riders before him, his shield locked between him amd them. One finally gathered enough courage to charge in, mace held high for a strike aimed wherever he could land one. Olrick braced and took only a slight step to the side, his blade thrusting forth once again and cutting deep into the rider's belly at the same time that the mace connected with the pauldron of Olrick's armor. The blow was weakened because of the step he took, but still enough to cause a tinge of pain in his arm.

In spite of this, Olrick resumes his stance. The way he stood suggested that he was in a trance like state, something he did when he knew he had to protect someone or something. He wasnt about to let anymore of the townsfolk to be hurt.

As the first rider's horse gallops off in fear, its master having fallen off to join the body already at Olricks feet, the second makes his charge in anger that his comrade had fallen to someone without a mount. This one lowers his spear, roaring in anger. Olrick doesnt move from his spot this time, bracing hard. When the spear connects with the steel shield it shatters, Olrick's blade lashing out once more, the beasts own momentum forcing the blade through its neck and into the breast of the rider who had leaned foreward in his saddle to try to add force to his attack, only to overextend his attack and meet an untimely demise and add a second horse and another rider to the body count at his feet.

When the horse falls the blade in its neck is wrenched from Olrick's hand, being burried too deep in its body to remove quickly. He curses silently and stoops, picking up the mace the first assailant had dropped. the weapon felt clumsy in his hand, but it would have to do for now as he resumes his stance, a third rider having taken up a charge against the defender.

Re: Chapter Two

Post by Niro Celeste on Thu Aug 21, 2014 10:36 pm

The Sorcerer eyed down Niro, his gaze somewhat frightened him. This man would kill him without batting an eye, and he probably intended to. Niro started to sweat, he tried to maintain a stern, defiant stare.

Could he stand in the face of death. His question was answered when the Sorcerer moved again.

The dark man pushed his palms out, the air crackled near his extended hands, and before Niro knew it, the same familiar feeling crept on him.

Again, a dark bolt of electricity jumped towards him, but this time Niro was ready. With a quick flick of his arm, small dust like material was flung before him. The darkened bolt hit the dust and was stopped instantly, like it had hit a invisible wall. The resulting collision exploded in front of Niro, causing somewhat of a smokescreen, giving Niro ample time to prepare his next spell. Niro winced as an erratic bolt somehow grazed his extended hand, which had burned it entirely.

A quick mumble of strained words and some quick painful tosses of arcane material, Niro rushed directly towards the lone sorcerer, Which put a devilish smile on the murderer, but it quickly turned to confusion when two other Niro's appeared form the smoke as well.

Two figures that looked amazingly like the Grey elf Wizard sped in opposite directions, one going left, the other the right. The effect was eerie, seeing multiple copies of himself, Niro still was put off by his Mirror Image spell. The duplication was flawless, the only thing different was that the copies were'nt physical, they were not tangible.

The confused look upon the Sorcerer did not last long, as it simply turned to bemusement. He closed his dark eyes and mumbled to himself, after mere seconds he reopened his eyes. They were a ghostly solid white, and even though he had no pupils, Niro felt his gaze penetrate him like daggers.

The air grew some what dark as small minute Rifts opened around the Sorcerer. At first Niro was dumbfounded, this wasnt a spell he was familiar with. That was until three Ancient Sabers seem to swim from the small portals. The three swords waved unwielded in the air, as if by an invisible assassin. The hovering blades swung seamlessly with ease, as if protecting their master, The Sorcerer.

Niro was only halfway to the Sorcerer when he noticed that each of the three blades started to follow each of the young Apprentices, tracing their paths.

Niro knew that he only one shot at this, and he would have to make it count.

Re: Chapter Two

Post by Mirza on Fri Aug 22, 2014 6:03 pm

Mirza sat up and as the dust settled around him he saw Katie leaning down towards him.

"Need a hand?" She said. Mirza looked up to her, shrugged his shoulders, one of which wracked with pain, and grabbed her hand. He pulled himself to his feet, but did not get onto Ranger. He gave Ranger a pat on the rear and smiled at the horse. He had grown fond of this animal since he met Katie and believed that he shared a need to keep Katie safe. He looked around briefly. Many of the horseman were closing on them and Mirza could not see Therafim anywhere. He panicked slightly as his eyes searched.

"Circle around again. I need to find Therafim. I'll hop on once I have my weapon." Mirza then took off running in the opposite direction, but not before giving Ranger a smack to get moving. "Keep her safe!" He said giving a playful wink to the horse.

Mirza diverted his head away from his friends and clutched his shoulder. It hurt. He grunted as he rubbed it. He attempted to move it, but it was uncomfortable and sent sharp stabs throughout his arm. He looked up and saw a spear coming strait for him. He jumped into the air, twisted his body and instinctively grabbed the weapon with his gauntlet. The metal glove locked and with a painful jerk Mirza quickly found himself being dragged by the horseman. Mirza's arm felt as though it would pop out of its socket any moment. The pain was excruciating. Mirza yelled and released the gauntlet's lock.

The original intention for his gauntlet was to grab an opposing duelists weapon. It was an unfair advantage that was banned in tournaments. It worked well against light weapons such as short swords, scimitars and rapiers, but did not fair well against larger blades or axes. Mirza eventually discovered that it could also be used to grip rough surfaces or smooth edges. It was ideal for climbing in urban environments. In this case it worked well against the spear, but the rider had it tucked under his arm, which meant he had more leverage than Mirza and was not disarmed.

Mirza rolled along the ground. He cursed in Basil tongue. He pulled himself up and as he did he noticed Therafim at his feet. He picked up the Scimitar and looked up to see the rider coming around for yet another attack. The man had his spear thrown out in front of him in the same manner. Mirza turned and ran. He knew that he could not out run a horse, but there was a squat cabin not far from his current position. The rider closed in and as Mirza approached the cabin he leapt towards it. As his feet met the wall he kicked off again sending him in a backwards vault. As Mirza flipped and twisted through the air he could see the rider in awe. The man's face was of surprise and disbelief. Mirza swung his blade in a wide arc and smiled as the Scimitar tore the flesh from the man's face. The man screamed and wrenched the reins of his horse causing it to veer of cousre in a panic and crash into the very cabin Mirza had used to jump off of.

Mirza landed gracefully and sheathed Therafim. He now found himself not far from a tall man in shining armor hiding behind a massive shield. He held a mace and braced for any assault. Mirza wondered who he was. There were bodies at his feet. They appeared to have been would be attackers that fell to his defensive stance. Mirza thought these raiders must be some kind of special idiots to throw that many of themselves at the same guy in the same manner. Despite this Mirza determined that this was an ally, perhaps one of Tuvera's hired goons.

Mirza clutched his shoulder. It still hurt badly. He could see that the street had become a battlefield. The pasty elf had began engaging the sorcerer, Katie rode around shooting arrows and Clara had been engaging her fare share of raiders as well. Mirza was in no condition to engage anymore horseman. He turned and ran into the forest. He would need his Siyah from the inn and he would need to pop his shoulder back into place.

please fogive any gramatical errors. I will proof read at home.

Ranger snorted as we watched Mirza wink at him playfully.
~Keep her safe, understood~ the stallion snorted and then took off galloping.
Katie stared at mirza then nodded at his commanded
"C'mon ranger!" She leaned forward and gripped his man. The girl weaved threw the crowd. Twisting and ducking as maces, and swords where swung at her.

The bond between the painted stallion and the girl was incrediable. how they where able to move together with out reins and a saddle. The girl's theighs seem to grip onto the horse's bare back. able to  smoothly go around the enemies and dodging weapons. Katie would pull back her bow and fire, her arrows going threw what ever part it went threw

Katie was turned backwards on ranger firing at the men who chased her. Ranger snorted as he looked behind him watching katie, the love of his life, his owner, his master. he cared for her. He let out a blood curdling cry as a sharp feeling entered his front left leg causing him to collapse and tumble forward, launching katie from his back.

the hard ground embraced katie as she fell. her ribs stung a bit as she curled on the ground. she opened her eyes to see her horse collasped onto the ground, blood pouring out of his left front leg.

"RANGER!" katie screamed and got up and fell to her knees. The stallion snorted and tried to get up but couldn't it hurt to bad.  Katie crawled over and picked up his head, holding it in her lap. tears poured down her face.
"it's ok i got ya..." she whispered. a angry shout shot towards her. Her eyes looked up to see a man on a dark horse standin in front of them. his horse reared and charged at them. Katie's eyes went wide as she searched for her bow, which she carelessly left at the spot where she landed. She could get it and risk Ranger getting ran over... No!

Katie got up and ran towards him, she must be crazy. The man swung at the girl, who amazingly dodged it by bending back wards and grabbing his arms and swinging herself onto the huge draft horse. she grabbed the reins and jerked it hard to the side causing the huge beast to turn and dodge Ranger... the man tried to grabbed the girl.

katie notice another horse and enemy infront of them. She smiled and tapped his shoulder and pointed forward before jumping off and watching the two huge beasts collide into each other. she smiled but it faded when she turned to see Ranger still down. She ran back and grabbed his head, stroking him gently. Unaware of anyone behind her.....

Re: Chapter Two

Post by Metallicar on Fri Aug 22, 2014 7:02 pm

These men were absolutely brutal. Everything else was a blur, and her only focus was on the men who rode thick draft horses and carried heavy weapons. Their numbers were dwindling slowly, but they weren't going down without a fight. The young assassin used her crossbow until she only had a few bolts left, then switching to her silver blade and throwing knives. She was by no means a sword kind of person, but she had to get close anyways to be able to strike. It was riskier now. A few of the burly men had lost their mounts, but not their lives. Clara picked off a few, most who were disoriented with the injuries they suffered.

She paused, a very unwise thing to do among battle. Clara fumbled with her crossbow, unaware of the foot soldier who was stalking towards her with a thunderous expression. Clara hadn't realized her mistake until she was thrown off Estelle and stricken, the slap loud and painful. It was the first time the young assassin had been hit like that, and it was slightly off putting. She lifted her eyes to the man who'd dismounted her forcefully. He had daggers instead of a sword, and his armor was much thinner— made of material much nicer and protective than Clara's. He twirled his daggers expertly, a half grin on his face.

She scrambled away, searching for anything that might be on her. She had her fingers around her silver blade and was just about to unsheathe it when the soldier kicked it away, and Clara watched as it clatter across the cobblestone. Emerald eyes shined in fear, and they flickered upwards to see Katie holding Ranger's head, and Mirza was nowhere to be found. This was bad. Fatal, even. Clara felt a painful yank at the base of her skull, and she let out a pained cry. The man who'd thrown her on the floor had pulled her up by her hair, pressing one of the daggers against her throat. From afar, Clara did not look like a runaway girl who lived in the Thieves' Guild, but like the sixteen year old girl she now was. She looked small; weak and helpless. Clara would hate to know she looked that way.

A satisfied look spread on the man's face. The young assassin struggled, and he put more pressure on the blade— until droplets of blood welled up. It stung, and Clara shut her eyes tightly. Her hands motionless leg searched for anything that could distance herself, but so far, there was nothing. She was at a major disadvantage.

"You're so very beautiful," the man says in a gravelly voice, and she swallows nervously. Why can't she find anything? She has to have one last throwing knife. Somewhere. "It's such a travesty to have to slit your throat— but don't worry dear, you'll look marvelous in scarlet." He growls appreciatively, and Clara's fingers find a cold piece of silver. She's found it.

Just as the pressure on her neck gets worse, she swings in an arc, sending the small knife into the side of his neck. The man freezes, and blood soaks Clara's hand as he drops the blade and releases her ash blonde hair. The young assassin releases the knife and takes a step back. Small lines of blood dog her neck and collarbone now, but she ignores it. She looks down at him, fighting the fear that once danced in her eyes.

"Red isn't your color." She snarls, and the man gurgles. Clara steps away and collects her abandoned weapons. Estelle is long gone, and Clara can see that the only threat that is left is the sorcerer. He's not out yet.

Re: Chapter Two

Post by Olrick Stormgard on Fri Aug 22, 2014 11:54 pm

The final assailant had been dealt with easily enough. Olrick only had to repeat his motions from before by taking a slight step to one side, though he wasn't quick enough with his shield and the rider's axe grazed heavily across his thick helm, the force behind the blow enough to rattle Olrick and cause a sizable dent in the armor. At the same time, however, Olrick managed to bring the mace in his hand up and land an almightly blow to the stomach of the rider, knocking him from his saddle. His armor prevented Olrick from stooping down and finishing the winded rider, so he settled for stomping on his skull, the weight of metal boots adding to the force behind it and caving the skull in, blood spattering his already soaked form.

Olrick sees no other threat present immediately so he drops the mace and goes to retrieve his blade, pulling his helmed off in the process, attaching it to a hook on his belt. He'd have to repair the helmet later. He braces a foot against the horse his blade was stuck in and pulls, the blade coming free after some effort. He looks up once more to survey the situation. It seemed they had missed one rider who had misplaced his steed, this one with slightly heavier armor than the others and carrying a two handed axe.

Olrick moves as quickly as he could as the man approaches a young female who cradled her horse as though it were family, though Olrick's speed was greatly limited due to the added weight of his armor. As he reached the girl, the raider had closed the distance and was preparing for a strike. Olrick's shield drops to the ground, a resounding thud and a cloud of dust resulting from the weight of the shield, all the better to get a second hand on the bastard sword in his hand. The blade intercepts the haft of the axe, the momentum behind the raider's blow almost causing his axe to be sundered. Thankfully for the girl's sake, the haft held and Olrick raises a boot to kick the male away, following with a downward thrust that the man's armor couldn't hold against.

The man dealt with, Olrick first turns to the girl, the thrill of battle still coursing through his veins. "Mind yer back, lass. Mourn the fallen in the aftermath." He says, his accent thick. He didn't know this girl or her connection with the beast she cradled so lovingly. That being said he retrieves his shield and sheathes his blade, seeing no other riders left he allows himself to relax, reaching up to his brow where the axe had struck moments before. When his hand was withdrawn he notices a fair amount of blood, possibly from when the metal in his helmet dented inwards. "Perfect" He spits and shakes his head.

Re: Chapter Two

Post by Niro Celeste on Mon Aug 25, 2014 7:27 pm

Niro neared the Sorcerer, as he prepared what he hoped was the spell to take down his foe.

The Sorcerer made his move first. With a flick of his left wrist, the swords that circled the Sorcerer stopped, and then shot off towards their targets, The Niro's.

The saber directly in front of Niro rocketed towards him, But the Apprentice was so close to the Sorcerer, that the blade whizzed right by, missing him by centimeters. The Sorcerer's attention was on the left Niro clone, watching as the sword pierced him and then disappeared. He then turned to the real Niro before him.

Niro was now within five feet of the Sorcerer, which startled his rough looking horse. Within the span of two seconds, three things simultaneously happened.

First, a long thin dagger appeared behind the Sorcerer, hovering. It was aiming at Niro.

Second the Sorcerer's horse reared up on its hind legs, emitting a loud whiny.

Third, Niro finished his Incantation, Thrusting his palms out.

"A fourth sword?!" Niro exclaimed to himself, but he had no time to react.

What looked like molten ice flew from Niro's hands, it slowly enveloped the horse and Sorcerer in a icy tomb. The Horses cry and the Sorcerers screams soon became muffled as they were buried by ice.
The small knife glimmered through the air, plunging itself deep into Niro's chest. He instantly fell to his knees, gasping for air. He hoped it didn't hit anything serious. The blade felt ice cold inside of him, and he felt a pain he had never felt before.

The muffled screams finally stopped, The sorcerer and horse had become a icy statue, dead and unmoving. Niro took one last look up at the strangely beautiful statue that he had made, and he could have sworn that he saw the Sorcerer's eyes frantically moving. Niro hoped it was his imagination.

Niro started to breathe heavily. He had never been stabbed before, and he hoped he never would again. Niro tried to steady himself against the ground, but his arms and hands started to shake. Sweating heavily, the reality of what just happened finally caught up to him.

His lunch, snack, and breakfast was in full display before him, Niro heaved. Niro felt sharp pains every time he gasped for air. Niro wiped his face with his sleeve, he felt like his entire body was cold and hot at the same time. His eyes became heavy and his arms failed him.

Niro Collapsed.

Re: Chapter Two

Post by Mirza on Tue Aug 26, 2014 4:37 pm

Mirza made it relatively quickly back to the Tavern. He was at the building's rear and easily found a suitable tree to bash his shoulder against. He had dislocated it before, and if it were not for the adrenaline running through his veins it would be near unbearable. Mirza felt the pressure. He had to return to the battle quickly, but he could not go on fighting mounted opponents in his condition. To be truthful, mounted opponents were difficult to tackle on foot for anyone, but it was Mirza's ego that had caused him to rush into combat without strategizing before hand.

Mirza thought back over his adventures since he left the palace behind him and he realized that he more often than not rushed into situations without thinking. He would have to make an effort to correct this.

He stared the tree down and took a deep breath. He closed his eyes and gritted his teeth as he rushed it. It was thick and tall. Mirza's left shoulder crashed and bent as it made contact with the bark. Some of the bark chipped and Mirza could feel his shoulder pop back into place. Mirza let out a sharp yell as the pain of his joints moving around radiated into the rest of his body. Mirza wasted no time on the pain. he had to return to the fight.

He whipped around and spotted Anta on the side of the building drinking from a water trough. The Camel had been grateful for the availability of water since they had left the desert, but Mirza knew that the animal missed his natural habitat. Mirza dashed over to the desert beast and sure enough his Siyah was still slung on the camel along with a handfull of arrows. Mirza never worried about anyone stealing from Anta since the camel was often a better fighter than Mirza himself.

Mirza rushed to the camel and patted it. His shoulder still hurt a great deal as he lifted his arm, but it wasn't as bad now. Anta looked up to him. Surprisingly the animal was in a decent mood, a rarity for Anta, and Mirza jumped onto his back. Anta did not fight him today, something Mirza was thankful for, and obeyed Mirza immediately.

Anta was not as fast as a horse, but he was still faster than a human runner. It was a matter of seconds until he returned to the battle site. Horses and riders lay all over the place. The riders had been all wiped out and the sorcerer found himself encased in a giant ice block. Mirza immediately scanned the area for his allies. Clara was present and looked healthy. The metal man also appeared healthy. Katie was crouched over Ranger who appeared to be wounded and the elf had fallen to what looked like a stab wound. Mirza ignored the elf. From atop Anta he looked as though he was lost already so Mirza immediately rushed to Ranger.

The horse had taken a blow to the left leg. Mirza immediately jumped down from Anta and pulled his cloak from Anta's satchels (the cloak is just a large piece of cloth meant for throwing over oneself during a sandstorm) and began to apply it as a pressure bandage. He looked at the horse. The beast was in pain, but he would be okay. Mirza patted Ranger and looked at Katie.

"He will be ok Katie." He said as he placed his hand gently on her shoulder and smiled softly. He stood and walked over to the elf. He crouched down next to the elf. He was breathing and loosing blood. He looked up to see a steel wall of a man not far from him. "Hey tin head. Grab something to stop pastey here from bleeding out." Mirza said as he pointed.

Katie stared at the giant man who had stopped a charging man from killing Katie. Katie stared at the man, her mouth gaping open. He said something but the only thing the girl could here was
" lass"
What an accent, she blinked a couple if times then shook her head and growled as he stormed off. She watched him go then turned her attention to her horse.

Mirza had rushed over and and was applying pressure. Katie sniffled and placed her hands over his, she was shaking a bit, she was tryin to control  herself. She had tooken over to where he had applied pressure. He then placed his hand on her shoulder.
" he's gonna be ok" he said. Katie couldn't handle herself
" OF CORSE HES GONNA BE OK!" She snapped tears trickled down her face.

She looked down at ranger and smiled.
" you'll be ok bud... Just like when you where wrapped up in those ropes. You'll be ok" she tied the cloth aroun his leg. Then she notice something. Everything was quiet. She looked up to see Mirza attending to a elf.
" Clara?" Katie looked around then spotted the girl. Katie sniffled an looked at her bloody hands.
" Clara... Can you help me?" She said shakily.

Ranger snorted and kicked out then relaxed. He stare at Katie. Her love and touch. He lifted his head then snorted, he rolled on his stomach and looked at his leg.
Katie looked at her horse, she needs his halter and Clara to help push him up, he needs to stand.

It was quiet. The air was buzzing with the post magic effects, and the smell of blood was recognizable in the haze of the ended battle. Clara's neck stung, and she took a hand to wipe at the small laceration on her neck. Blood smeared on her pale skin onto her hand, and she looked away uneasily. The wizard who's come from nowhere was now on the ground, blade stuck deep in his chest. Clara watched him collapse, emerald eyes wide. He'd just taken on the shaman by himself, and Clara wasn't sure if that was such a smart move. Then she heard someone loudly snap at someone, and Clara turned to see her companions a few yards away.

It was Mirza and Katie, crouched over the vigorous stallion who seemed injured. Ranger was injured, and Katie looked on the brink of a meltdown. Clara did not hesitate to meet with her comrades. It was eerily silent, the only sounds were the scuffles of feet. She got on her knees, and looked down at the mount who'd been so loyal to Katie. Clara's hands skimmed over the quivering coat. "Tell me what you need." Clara says firmly, trying to be the calm in the storm, when really she was actually shaken up herself.

The aftermath. The part of battle that no one enjoyed. Olrick looks down at himself, the dust caked onto his armor where blood had spattered onto him. This was something he was used to, though. Blonde hair was matted to his head by drying blood and his face was covered in dirt. Getting cleaned up would be a pain.

When he was addressed as "tin head" he almost didnt respond. He still was trying to figure out why someone would go to aid a horse over a man whose life was slowly slipping away. He says nothing, but tears a peice of cloth from the sash around his waist. He takes a knee, the motion strained from the weight of his armor and manages to get the cloth wrapped around the blade of the dagger in the elf's chest before pulling his gauntlets off to be able to put pressure on the wound better. "Leave the blade, only thing keeping the bleeding under reasonavle control." beyond that, Olrick had no idea what he was doing.

Re: Chapter Two

Post by Niro Celeste on Thu Aug 28, 2014 7:56 pm

~A darkly lit cave housed two grim figures, each whispering in hushed tones at each other. One figure was a tall pasty male elf, clothed in dark garments, he seemed to be hunched over, as if in fear. The other figure was a woman. She was tall and pale. Her features were angular and her skin was smooth. Her figure was slim and she wore dark green and black clothing. She had a staff that was gnarled and was decorated with various bones, plants and feathers.

The man was speaking...
"You said you would leave my brother out of this!" he hissed, anger and dismay in his voice.
The woman only stared him down, making the man cringe, she barely raised her voice.

"I make no guarantees Nevan, especially when Araballazar is concerned." and with that a darker figure sprung from the shadows, A menacing looking man in a hood started to speak. His face displayed a devilish grin and his eyes danced like crazy.

"My brother should have reached Farwyn Village today, the town doesn't stand a chance." He relished the thought, Grinning.

The woman however was not so convinced. She spoke slowly,

"I wouldnt be so sure, it would be unwise to underestimate The Wizard Tuvera and his "Town Guard", She paused, the men each hung on her every sound, as if hypnotized my her words,
"Dallazar, join your brother in Farwyn, Make sure he gets the job done." she finished.

The man looked angered, he raised his voice in protest,

"But Seve-"

"SHHHH" She interrupted him immediately, she wore a serious expression on her face, her eyes grew incredibly suspicious.

"We're not alone" she whsipered.~

~Niro felt crushed. His was climbing a tall mountain, when all of the sudden it started to shake, and he started to fall. He tumbled into a small crevice, where he thought he'd be safe. But a parade of rocks said otherwise. Niro started to become buried, the rocks and dirt started to fill up the crevice.
Niro frantically tried to wave about, hoping to free himself. He found that he could easily move his extremities, but he couldnt move his chest. It was as if all the pressure of the debris was focused directly on his chest. His breathing started to slow, and Niro started to panic. With his last remaining breaths he started to scream~

Niro awoke gasping. He lifted himself up, only to see a large blonde man applying his weight to Niro's chest. He found he was having a hard time breathing, and this mans weight was not helping his symptoms. It took Niro a few moments to find his barrings, he was still dazed and confused from his unusual dreams.

Niro exerted a large amount of energy moving the large man's hands away from his body. He felt weak. Upon removing the mans arms, it revealed a slim hilt protruding from Niro's chest, near his right pectoral. He had completely forgotten he was stabbed.
Niro again gasped, followed by swallowing, which was a big mistake. Bile combined with blood made Niro's taste buds cringe as he dry heaved.

After mere moments of uncomfortable breathing, Niro narrowed his mind, trying to concentrate.
He returned to a sitting position, his legs stretched out before him.

"The wound was ghastly" he thought, looking down upon the ornate hilt. Any closer and it would have hit his heart, instead it nicked his lung. Niro could only assume from the blood in his mouth and the difficulty breathing, that the blade had punctured his lungs.

Niro stared at the blade, it would need to come out if he was to heal himself. The thought of pulling out a blade that was inside him repulsed him. He shook his pounding head, he needed to concentrate. He had enough energy for one more spell, as he reached to his waist, he entered a small red pouch. Inside was a messy green paste, that Niro lathered his fingers with.

With his opposite hand; the burnt hand, Niro gripped the hilt of the small blade, his fingers clammy and wet. Niro closed his eyes and sighed, trying to breathe as much as possible. With a couple quick whispers, the spell was ready. Niro gritted his teeth.

It was now or never.

Niro tightened his grip around the hilt and gave a mighty yank, pulling the blade from his chest. Niro inhaled sharply as the blade slid out, hurting just as much when it stabbed him. Before Niro felt like fainting again, he quickly applied the messy paste to his wound, tearing his leather armor in the process. His palm suddenly glowed a bright light, gaining a soft warmness. He pressed it to his wound. The heat transferred from his hand to his chest, and the bleeding started to slow.
In his mind, Niro felt instantly better, but he knew a good nights rest would complete the healing. He would have to take it easy the next few hours as his body started to knit it self back together.

Niro sighed, his breathing becoming somewhat easier, but more bearable then before. His chest still in pain, he finally looked to the blonde man who assisted him.

"Thanks, by the way" Niro Grinned, though his mind was still on the dreams he had while unconscious. He had had visions before, but they usually only consisted of only his brother and no one else. This was different; it was clear and Niro could hear the entire conversation.  But the vision had only left him confused. He did not know any of the people his brother spoke to.

He only hoped his brother hadnt got himself linked to the wrong crowd.

The knight, Mirza assumed, quickly tore some of his sash and went strait to aiding the elf. The pale wizard twitched a bit, but other wise did not move from his spot. Mirza wondered where he could find healing in Farwynn town. He looked around and noticed that Clara had gone to help Ranger and Katie.

Mirza turned to see the elf man come to. He watched in awe as the elf sat up and wrenched the dagger from his chest. The wizard quickly applied a healing salve. Who was this guy and where was he a month ago? And who was this knight. An armored wall would have been nice when fighting that moss golem. Mirza patted the elf on the back and nodded in recognition.

"Well done." Mirza said. He stepped back and looked at both the armored warrior and the elf wizard.

"I am Mirza. Salam Alaikom. Any idea who these guys are?" He said as he examined the frozen sorcerer. Mirza was unsure if the lightning throwing man was still living, but his body was intact and the tattoo on his bald head was all too familiar. It was the insect symbol from Severa's cave. Mirza's eyes widened as he came to that realization. Severa was out for him and possibly Katie and Clara as well.

Katie watched her horse roll over, she smiled and patted his neck.
"Clara im gonna go get his halter." she stared at her horse then quickly got up and ran into the stable, nearly slipping on some water... she grabbed the dark red halter and a piece of rope.

She spotted her bag and smiled, throwing the hand made bookbag over her shoulder and bolting out the door back to her horse. Katie stopped, awed that the elf was healing himself! Like what?! She stared for a second then flicked her eyes to the stronger built man. The one with a odd accent. She narrowed her eyes and growled under her breath...then continued over to her horse and knelt down.
The girl opened the bag, she reached in and smiled as she pulled out a small wooden match box, small neatly shaved sticks with special chemicals on it that could be lit with a rock which was pulled out along with string and a needle.

katie lit one match and then place the needle in the flickering orange fire that quickly went out by itself. She smiled and dropped the stick and scooted over to the horse and rubbed his head then pushed him back down to lay on his side. she placed her small body on his neck then leaned forward to his knee. she sighed and got the needled and threaded the string threw it.

"Alright bud, this is gonna hurt..." she then took the needle and started to sow his torn skin togather.

Ranger let out a scream. he snorted and tried to stand, but katie pressed down on him keeping him from getting up. after the girl finished sowing she got off and let the angry stallion roll back onto his stomach. she slipped on his halter and handed the lead to Clara
"Pull him up, and ill pushed from behind." She walked behind and looked at Clara
"On the count of 3," she looked at her horse, who's white splashes is caked dirt and blood.
thats gonna be fun to cleanshe thought then, flciked her eyes up.
"3.....2.....1"

Clara stayed by the stallion's side until Katie returned, who than began to work on his wound. Behind the young assassin, she could hear Mirza making conversation with the other two who had also come to fight. Clara worried her lip before finally speaking up. "You saw the Shaman's tattoo, right?" She asks, turning her head to look over her shoulder. "The insect.. the labyrinth.. It has to be connected." She insists, keeping quiet for a moment until Katie puts a rope in her hands. She brings her focus back on the injured mount, standing and taking steps back until the rope is wound around one hand and taunt in the other. On three Clara pulls with the roped hand while yanking on the other, watching as Ranger fumbles to find footing.

With a bit of struggle, Clara watches the stallion stand, keeping the injured leg bent. The young assassin knows he's favoring it, because it must hurt like hell. The rope in Clara hands goes limp, and she walks towards the archer and her steed once the job is done. Ranger looks irritated to say the least, and Clara merely pats the dirty stallion once as a praise.

She ignores the smell of blood, turning to look at the three men. The elf had somehow healed himself— which was beyond Clara's comprehension. She didn't say anything, just stayed quiet as she thought over what she'd seen. Was Severa behind this?

Olrick resists the elf's attempts to move his hands off the wound in his chest at first. It took a moment for him to realize that the elf was more fragile in appearance and that he was likely restricting the other's ability to breathe because of the weight being placed on his chest. In light of this he gradually releases his grip and allows his hands to be moved away.

When the elf healed himself it answered the question as to why he wanted Olricks hands off, aside from the crushing weight of muscle as well as heavy armor baring down on him. "Don' mention it" he says in response to the word of thanks from the wizard.

He stands slowly, rather as quickly as he could, and rests a hand on the pommel of his sword, turning his attention to the young Basilian who had introduced himself. "Ser Olrick Stormgard, at yer service." the introduction accompanied by a slight bow of the head.

((side notes: Think heavy Scottish for Olrick's accent. Secondly: Not sure how much the others would know about his order, as said its existence slipped into legend and bards tales ages ago.))

Re: Chapter Two

Post by Niro Celeste on Thu Sep 04, 2014 8:04 pm

Niro’s head pounded. He couldn’t remember a time when he was so exhausted or in so much pain. While the paste healed his wound, the pain still lingered. He winced as he tried to stand. Unsteadily, Niro stood, keeping his hand over his chest, favoring his injury.

He had definitely over did it.

He looked to the man who assisted him, His bright blonde hair had splashes of red tint, a sign of head trauma. But the man’s expression seemed normal, so Niro was not concerned. He could only assume that his physique was impressive, wearing heavy armor and waving a tower shield that was as big as Niro like it was nothing.

The other man’s skin and hair was much darker then the Knight’s, his skin was tinged as if he had a permanent tan. A desert man?  Tuvera had told him a Basilian had taken refuge in Farwyn Town, but still Niro was incredulous. This was the man he spoke of.  The Basilian looked to be about his “age” and Niro sighed at the thought. He didn’t have many friends, and those he did were nowhere near his “age”. Maybe that was going to change. But Niro got ahead of himself.

Niro looked behind the Basilian to two figures helping a horse, they were female. They must be the rest of the first Town Guard, the two women that fought with the desert man. They looked like they didn’t take much damage during the fight, which pleased Niro. The girl's backs were to Niro, so he couldn't discern their appearance.

The Basilian man then introduced himself, followed by the Knight. Their names were Mirza and Olrick respectively, though Niro had a hard time figuring out their names, as their accents were strange and harsh, especially Olricks.
Niro bent his body to bow slightly, which caused him pain and discomfort, he restraightened his body.

He grinned as he introduced himself.

“I am Niro Celeste,  Tuvera’s Apprentice”. He paused. He didn’t thinking speaking would’ve become difficult but it had because of his injury, he would have to be more precise and blunt.

“In fact, I say we go see him right now.” Niro strained through the words. As he started to move a voice interrupted him.

A man suddenly appeared before them. His Arrival was immediate with no warning.

“My, My, What a mess you’ve made, Niro.” Said Tuvera with a somewhat stern expression.
