Chapter Two - Page 2 Empty Re: Chapter Two

Post by Mirza Mon Sep 08, 2014 1:13 pm

Clara made a comment about the Sorcerer's head tattoo. She pointed out that it was the same from the labyrinth. She was likely correct in the connection between the two, but Mirza still hoped it was a coincidence.

Mirza was a bit surprised to learn the elf wizard was the apprentice to Tuvera. He had been working under Tuvera's thumb for a month now and had not heard of or ran into this man before. Mirza thought that he should not be too surprised as Tuvera likely had many things he did not tell the people on his pay roll.

Olrick also revealed himself. The stocky steel man who was about as tall as Mirza gave himself the title "ser" or "sir" (Mirza wasn't sure which). He looked like a knight, but his accent was thick and unlike anything he'd ever heard. Miza had a bit of an accent himself, mostly when it came to rolling his 'R's, but Mirza almost had difficulty making out the Olrick's words.

Mirza began to open his mouth to agree with Niro when Tuvera teleported in. A flas of blue light and the tall blue Vedalken strode calmly into the city street. His expression was his usual and his robes were elegant as ever.

"My, My, What a mess you’ve made, Niro.” he said with his long blue smile. Mirza had always found it peculiar that Tuvera's race had no ears, flat noses and most intriguing, no bdy hair. This meant that he had no eye brows to speak of; Which further meant that Tuvera was impossible to read. Mirza did notice that his tone was slightly condescending. Mirza himself hated being patronized and if Niro was anything like Mirza, then he hated it too.

Mirza remembered his sword dancing teacher. Ranjit Salazar, grand master of the Hassansins and one of few people to fully master the Raks Al'mawt. He was a patient teacher, but was quite patronizing when he spoke. Mirza hated it. Salazar never actually revealed the told Mirza what he had done wrong or where he needed to improve, he would only lead the young prince on in hopes that he would figure things out on his own. Mirza always asked what he did incorrectly, but Salazar would always answer with a question. " What do you think you did wrong?" He would say. His face permanently fixed to show no emotion. The only redeemable feature in his dark face was a long scar tha ran through his right eye and down passed his lips. As Mirza thought about his former teacher he glanced at the frozen sorcerer. The insect tattoo on his head. Salazar had one just like it on his wrist. A sense of dread filled Mirza. He felt his body turned cold and Mirza realized that whatever this was, Severa, the sorcerer, the dungeon, it was all connected and Salazar was somehow also connected. There couldn't be a coincidence.

Mirza shook his chills away. He stepped up to Tuvera. He figured he could do Niro a favor and not have to deal with a lesson by interrupting.

"That symbol" Mirza pointed to the sorcerer's head. He wanted to get strait to the point. "The insect. I've seen it before. When we met Severa. What is it." He demanded, fear in his voice.

"The Black Dragon."

OOC: I will make a post in the lore section to give a little detail on the Acolytes of the black dragon.

With a pull and a push, the mustang was standing up. He snorted and leaned into his good legs, favoring his badly cut one. He flattened his ears and rolled his eyes. Katie's sowing... Or stitching wasn't the best... But it works.

Katie patted her horse and smiled at him, even though at the moment he was furious with her.
" thank you Clara," Katie's light blue eyes shined brightly and for a moment she looked likes a kid who had opened a present... But that quickly faded when we eyes shot over to the two new people.

A elf just got done healing himself.
A wizard, Katie thought to herself, she was used to elf's...but really made her uncomfortable was the metal man... The one who savesd her.... The child liked twinkle in her eyes faded and was replaced with the same dark stern look, like when Mirza and Clara first met her.

Katie walked up to Clara, still watching the weird talking man. She glanced at Clara then at the man again. Her eyes spotted a red glint behind him... Like 10 feet behind him. Her bow!
" great..." She mumbled...She slowly walked around him, just like a scared dog being approached by a strange man. Her eyes never went off of him until she reache her bow.

She grabbed the red bow and held it while searching for her quiver. Once she found it, she realized that most of we arrows where scattered or shattered on the ground.
" that's lovely..." She whispered, completely clueless on what the group was talking about. In mid reach for a arrow the words " black dragon" caught her attention.

" what?!" She said loudly. She jerked herself up and stared at the group eyes wide with fascination. She quickly strided over to Mirza's side, slightly standing behind him completely forgetting about the rest of her arrows...

" a dragon? A black dragon?"

This was one of the stranger introductions Clara's witnessed in a while, and nods when Katie thanks her. "It's no bother." She says calmly, grimacing as she wiped away the drying rivulets of blood that caked her neck. It was lucky she'd found the small throwing knife when she did. That had been a terrifying moment, much like the golem and the undead earlier this month. Wasn't she just experiencing the best of things? With a sigh, her green eyes took to looking for her throwing knives. She could see a few sticking out from wounds, but she couldn't see them all. Plenty of her crossbow bolts were buried deep in the throats of the men, or occasionally— the head. It was going to be a pain taking them all out and cleaning them. Maybe I should just buy new ones, she thinks dully.

The young assassin hears the two strangers introducing themselves, and turns to look at the three men. Niro and Olrick, was it? They'd been a huge help during the fight, and Clara wonders what they would've done if it had just been the three of them. She steps forward after a moment's hesitation, looking at them with wary eyes. It wasn't that she didn't trust them, she was never the best at introductions, usually.

"I'm Clara." She doesn't get a moment to react until Tuvera is there with the five of them, tsking Niro on the mess he's apparently made. It was actually more of a group effort, but Clara stays quiet. Then Mirza's demanding what the insect is from and finally a name is revealed. The Black Dragon. She's heard of such creatures before, but what exactly is it? She's never heard of it before, and frowns as she realizes that. Katie seems quite startled, so she must recognize the name.

If Severa is included, then it's not good, whatever this might be. Was this what they did when they didn't like something? Were the three of them targets for fighting Severa and retrieving the lost souls earlier in the month? The thought makes her blood run cold.

The introductions were made...well most of them at least. He still didn't know the name of the girl who was too busy with her fallen horse to realize the immediate danger behind her. He gives a curt nod of his head towards Clara, the last to introduce herself before the tall blue man made his appearance. Olrick had no way of know what exactly was being spoken of so he holds his tongue for the moment, even when Mirza had interrupted the interaction between master and apprentice, something that Olrick felt was not to be interfered with.

When the word dragon came up, the knight's heart sank to the pit of his stomach. Dragons, there's something he never wanted to face based off of stories from the older members of his order. He manages to stave off a shudder as he looks towards the one speaks. "Dragons, eh? Color be damned, they're no' somethin; to be trifled with." He says, wanting to be absolutely sure that it's what the blue man says. One thing was for certain, his help was still needed here, whether anyone acknowledges this or not he would stay until he felt it was no longer necessary for him to be present.

Another thing that was plain to him was his sudden thirst and desire to be out of his armor for a bit. "So...How's about a pint?" His gaze shifts from one person to the other.

Chapter Two - Page 2 Empty Re: Chapter Two

Post by Niro Celeste Thu Sep 11, 2014 7:53 pm

Niro sighed. The condescending tone of Tuvera’s voice grated on his ears. He hated when Tuvera patronized him. Niro usually had a calm and collected demeanor, but grew increasingly agitated when he was treated like a child. Niro was pretty sure Tuvera knew this and used it to his advantage.

Before Niro had a chance to reply to his Master, The brown skinned Mirza spoke first, his words came out in a somewhat frenzy,

“That symbol" Mirza pointed to the sorcerer's head.  He pasued,  "The insect. I've seen it before. When we met Severa. What is it."

Niro was intrigued. Mirza had a strange look in his eyes; they showed concern.

“What did they find down in those tunnels?” Niro thought to himself, Tuvera was still reluctant to release such information to him.

Niro started to wonder how he could get the knowledge of the event when movement caught his eye.

The townsfolk had started to appear from hiding, along with some of the Town Guard that wasn’t caught in the fray. Their faces looked sullen and dazed, as if they had just come out of a sleep.

Niro was immediately concerned, but knew there was nothing he could do to help these people anymore. He knew of no arcane that could raise spirits.

“Master, I believe we should move this conversation to a more secure place.” Niro said, looking towards the townspeople.

Tuvera at once understood and nodded, raising his brow.

“Ah yes, Always the thoughtful one you are Niro, “ Tuvera said, Niro swore he could hear a hint of sarcasm in Tuveria’s voice but it was impossible to tell as his face hid all emotion.

“To The Tower we go.” Tuvera said calmly.

Tuvera quickly gathered himself at the center of the group. He eyed each of the five;  Mirza, Olrick, the 2 women, and Niro. And before he knew it, Tuvera was gone in a small flash of light.

Niro knew exactly what came next, as an all too familiar feeling crept up on him.

Niro felt himself being pulled extremely fast in a single direction. He attuned the feeling as if he was falling forward without hitting the ground.

He was being Teleported.

Chapter Two - Page 2 Empty Re: Chapter Two

Post by Mirza Fri Sep 12, 2014 12:42 pm

The feeling of teleportation had almost become familiar to Mirza. It was no longer him trying to hold onto his stomach, so much now. Mirza was now intrigued by the images he saw while traveling. Mirza closed his eyes as the world around him was stripped of its light. It became what Mirza had determined was some cosmos that held the world together. He could see the familiar scene filled stars as the night sky enveloped him. Everytime he traveled this cosmos, he would try to see another star. He focused on one that looked like a swamp. There was a floating castle high above in the blackened sky. The water was murkey and the trees were gnarled. An earie fog hovered over the landscape. It was a strange place. Mirza had never been to a swamp. He imagined he would hate it. Everything was damp within the small scene and the air was likely thick with moisture. Mirza reached out to it and a cold feeling rushed through him. He felt an evil aura and as he took his hand back in he felt the teleportation spell pulling him back to reality.

The spell spit him into Tuvera's antechamber. The statue of the ancient Kytril towering over the marble floor. The pillars around the cricular room's edge stood tall and polished as ever. Mirza seemed to like this chamber. It was simple. No furniture and the way the blue floor combined with the marble architecture calmed him. Mirza looked around and noticed that he was the first to arrive.

He thought about the possibility of Severa being connected to a dragon and a dragon being conneted to Salazar. The master of the Hassansins was not a person anyone wanted as an enemy. Mirza was unsure if he had any mastery over magic, but the stories he heard were of Salazar literally coming out of shadows. The rumors that surrounded the man suggested that he could blend with darkness itself and strike from even the smallest shadow. Mirza never saw it in action when he was Salazar's student, but one did not become the leader of the Hassansins because he was well spoken and good with a sword. Mirza dreaded an encounter with his sword dancing teacher.

As far as dragons were concerned Mirza knew they were powerful and they were evil. The legends of Al'Rasheed suggested that dragons once ruled over the desert. Blue ones to be specific, he had never heard of a black dragon. The blue dragons were chased out of the Basil mountains by sorcerers who learned to hone their magical powers by collaborating with the djinns. The djinns sought to control the dragons domain, but once the ancient Basil sorcerers earned their freedom from the blue dragons they were reluctant to become servants of anyone. They rejected the djinns and many of the magical beings now found themselves trapped in various trinkets. Mirza could remember multiple artifacts among his family's collection that were said to have trapped djinn souls within them. Lamps, jewelery, carpets, but most notably Therafim was among them.

Katie stood there listenin to the group talk. she notice Tuvera was all of a sudden there...
whyshe narrowed her eyes. If he was here, that means trouble.

katie rolled her eyes and remained thinking to herself until a blinding blue light appeared. Everything was moving so fast that the poor girl couldn't keep up with the world.. she clamped her eyes shut until she felt -for the moment- in peace. She remained keeping her eyes shut until she felt reality come in. She landed on the ground, just missing Mirza.

Katie remained on her belly then crunched into a ball holding her sides. Her ribs where nearly healed but they still where sore. the girl took in a breath then opened her eyes and looked around. Tuvera's antechamber... the blue carpet floors blended in with marble. The pillers where beautiful to.. Katie blinked a couple of times then spotted Mirza...

"Hey..." she smiled shyly and was clearly trying to catch her breath from her small short bursts of pain from her ribs.

Ranger stood there as he watched Katie and the other disappear into thin air. The stallion flattened his ears and stuck out his lower lip.
yea yea disappear! its not like i need help walking anyways he grumpily thought to himself. He started to turn when a wet drop landed on his nose...and within seconds...it started to pour down on the stallion.
worse...day....ever His eyes switched over to the ice statue
~what you staring at ice brian...~ he pinned his ears

Teleportation is not that surprising to Clara anymore. It seems like Tuvera prefers it more than walking, but if you can control magic then it makes sense. She feels a force pulling at her body and shoving it with all its might into another dimension. It's always been blurry the few times she sees it, but her senses scream destruction, and its always made her want a clearer picture. Why the sudden sense of panic? She drops into the Antechamber, landing crouched with one hand supporting her from falling. She can hear Katie, and stands to see her two long time Comrades standing on the other side of the mystic statue.

Emerald eyes shoot up to admire it; its always been strange to Clara, but she can appreciate why it's here. It takes her a moment to realize that her head isnt spinning, and that she can stand without her legs wobbling from the drastic pull of Tuvera's magic. It's a big feat for the young assassin, and a ghost of a smile forms on her face. She still thinks the wizard should inherit in some doors, nonetheless. She thinks back to Tuvera and his conversation with Niro, and her brow furrows slightly. Does he often talk down to his apprentice? The wizard has always been very indifferent towards people, and it confuses Clara.

The other two haven't landed yet, and the young assassin exhales. She should've expected that Severa would appear again. What exactly was she, and what could she possibly be up to? That labyrinth with the werewolves and undead was not simply enough. There was probably much more to the mysterious woman. How much power does she really hold?

It was only seconds after he had posed his question to the others about a pint in celebration for their victory that he found himself careening through time and space. This was unsettling for the knight who had rarely seen magic before today. The images whirring past him made him dizzy and silently thankful he had yet to eat anything since breakfast several hours before the encounter.

He thank the gods above when his steel clad boots met solid ground once more, his hand moving to rest on his knees as he doubles over, dry heaving as his stomach tries to purge its nonexistent contents. After a moment he straightens again, looking towards the others. "So....no pint then?" His words waver slightly as the after effects of teleporting for the first time lingered. His gaze moves to the blue man, raising a hand to point at him, "Hows about a bit of a warning next time, yeah?"

Chapter Two - Page 2 Empty Re: Chapter Two

Post by Niro Celeste Tue Oct 28, 2014 7:35 pm

Niro breathed deeply, inhaling the cosmic eternities that flashed through his vision. Teleportation was oddly calming, it soothed his nerves and feelings, even when they were directed at his master.

Niro could not remember a time when he had been so angry; first Tuvera embarrassed Niro in front of these people, then treats him like a novice, like hes a small child. Niro was enraged.
But all that quickly dissipated when Tuvera teleported the group.

Niro closed his eyes, shaming himself while he reflected on his thoughts and actions. Maybe he was acting a tad immature and rash, but he couldnt just sit back and watch his town under attack. That he couldn't, he wouldnt let anything happen to this town.

A small presence let itself be known to Niro, it felt as if something was in his mind. Like a tickle in the back of your throat, or an itch you couldnt reach.

The presence spoke.

"Niro, I know we havent seen eye to eye lately..." a familiar voice said.

It was his Master, Tuvera

Niro's anger somewhat surged back, but before he could speak, Tuvera interrupted him.

"Your brother was much more submissive and less confrontational-"

At this Niro's anger nearly reached its peak, he felt himself become quite warm in the cold meekness of the aether. He was ready to explode.

"But," Tuvera continued, " He didnt show nearly as much promise or heart as you do."

Niro deflated. All the anger and rage inside him vanished instantly.

Tuvera just gave him the most eerily strange compliment. He never usually hands out such praises, and never had he put down one brother against another. This was most unusual. Uncanny even. Tuvera spoke again.

"I have to admit Niro, I do not covet most things, nor do I care about most things save my studies. But you have left a considerable mark on me. So much, that for the life of me, I at first could not understand why we started to quarrel so much."

"Its because I do not want you to leave the Tower..." Tuvera finished. He was finally short to the point.

Niro was speechless.

The ever Stoic Tuvera, the emotionless Teacher, The Remorseless one.

Just admitted he would miss Niro.

Niro couldnt gather the words to speak, so Tuvera spoke for him.

"I know how strange this all seems, but I assure you it took me aback also."

Niro finally gained strength to speak.

"Im Sorry Master, I-"

"That quite enough, You do not need to speak Niro..."

he paused.

"Its time for you to embark on your own, Niro..."

Shocked, Niro gasped as he opened his eyes.

Niro and the group of fighters had landed in the familiar comfortable Tower meeting room.

The room gave off an odd warming sensation, not only of heat, but as if his spirits were being raised. The room was calming.

Niro's head felt as if it were being drained like a funnel, giving him a dizzying sensation, the effect only lasted a mere moment.

The presence was gone.

Then Tuvera began to speak. He was stern, serious.

"Whom you just encountered, were the Acolytes of the Black Dragon, I can only assume that their destruction ages ago was premature." He paused taking in the room full of figures. looking them directly in the eyes.

"They are Back, and gaining strength it seems." Tuvera closed his eyes,

"More like you have fought today are on their way here. It seems that the ancient scrolls are correct in someways about the Acolytes of the Black Dragon."

"They Attack in Pairs."

Chapter Two - Page 2 Empty Re: Chapter Two

Pairs!? Mirza sighed loudly and sat at the base of the Kytril statue. He leaned over and looked at the group. They got lucky with the first group and would have to be prepared for whatever was coming in the wake of their actions. Each person involved was very capable, that much Mirza knew. He also knew that Clara, Katie and he were a spectacular team, but two new additions? Were they permanent to Tuvera's town guard? As Mirza's thoughts trailed on he came to the realization that his service to Tuvera was over. Tuvera owed him a great deal of gold and Mirza could leave at his leisure. Mirza looked at Clara and Katie. His face was filled with concern. Katie grew up in this town, but her spirit yearned to explore the world. It was doubtful that she would leave, but Clara had matters beyond this town. Would she leave? Mirza hadn't thought much of what he would do after his service to Tuvera. Maybe he would go with Clara. She was a runaway like himself and a traveling companion who didn't spit at him would be a blessing.

Mirza looked away from his friends and at Tuvera. "So what's next Ol' Blue?" He figured he’d at least hear what could be ahead of him.

Tuvera swayed to a portion of the room where all could see him. "If you have caught the attention of the Acolytes of the Black Dragon, then they will never stop pursuing you. In addition if they have began to reveal themselves they could possibly be planning something. I fear what that could be. I would ask you to pursue them as I am very wrapped up in my affairs her in Farwyn Town."

Tuvera walked up to Mirza, looked down and smiled. "Mirza. I know you seek a quiet place to live out your life in solitude, but you have the heart of a dragon. A blazing heart that thirsts for adventure and excitement. This journey will fulfill that thirst and these brave souls will need your sword and your fiery passion." Mirza stood suddenly full of pride.

He looked to Clara "The youngest of the group. Clara." Tuvera's voice was soft and kind "You seek a place to belong child, this I know. The path ahead of you is dangerous and long, but upon its windy cobblestone you will find that place and ultimately find yourself. Your companions here will need your guile, your cross bow, and they will need your voice of reason."

He moved to Katie "Katie my dear. You are kind and genuine. You have the spirit of a hunter and I know you love this town. I promise to look after it for you. Let your spirit run free like a wild horse. The group here will need your bow, but more importantly they will need your compassion."

Tuvera walked towards Olrick and stopped for a moment. "A knight of the Stormgard Order. Brave. Noble. Sworn to stop evil and corruption where ever it raises its head. This group will need your experience; It will need your wisdom and it will need your shield."

Tuvera's smile grew proud and wide. Mirza had never seen such joyful emotion in the wizard prior to that moment. He approached Niro, his chest held high. He placed his hand gently on the elf's shoulder "My student. My prodigy. It is time you embarked upon your own journey. Take care of these souls. Aid them in my absence. Keep them together. I have little more I can teach you and they will need your knowledge and guidance."

Tuvera returned to his position in front of the group. "I have an old friend by the name of Tig Wilder in Talc. He is an expert on dragon cults as well as a powerful wizard. He can help you in seeking out the Acolytes of the Black Dragon. Oh and Mirza, Katie, Clara. Your pay for aiding me this last month will be teleported with you when you leave the tower. Good luck my town guard."

And with that Tuvera waved his hand and the teleportation process began once more.

Post by Undead4ssassin0 Wed Oct 29, 2014 6:50 pm

After moment of dropping in, Clara, Niro and the tall man who stood like a tree was there.
" so.... No pint then?" He said. Katie lifted on eye brow and rolled her eyes. She looked at Clara and smiled at her buddy... Her... Best friend then her blue eyes flicked over to Mirza. A slight shade of pink was of the girl's cheeks. She then looked back at Clara and walked over and bumped her shoulder
" hey" she smiled then looked at the new strange people.

Katie scanned the room. She then spotted Tuvera and sighed. Another long speech. She yawned a bit.  which most of the time Katie was dazing off until the word 'Dragon' came up. Katie's eyes widen. Dragons where her obsession. Since she was little, she always wanted to see a dragon. In school they would talk about the Dragon gods and speak of a good dragons that lives in peace and others brought hell. The acolycles of the black dragon sounded... Unusuall.. Something wasn't right. Katie was deep into thought. What where these people. Why was this ' severa' brat after them?

Katie looked down at her feet remaining quiet.
" they attack in pairs."  Said tuvera.
" well that's brillant to know...  I mean I'm pretty sure we can take on two men, I mean come on... We fought a golem!" Katie mumbled to Clara, giggling slightly.  Katie was actually trying to brighten the dark gloom that had started to fill her. She was gonna have to leave. She always wanted to leave this stupid little town... But in reality she loved it here. It was quiet. She knew the woods. Tuvera's stare caught Katie's attention.

"Katie my dear, you are kind and genuine. You have the spirit of a hunter and I know you love this town.  I promise to look after it for you. Let you let spirit run like a wild horse. The group will need your bow but more importantly your compassion." He said to her. Katie stared at him in awe. She looked like a small innocent child. Her mouth was slightly open her eyes opened and wide, sparkling with the tears that where filling her eyes for the moment.

Was she really that important to the group?  The town... It started to hit her. Can she leave this town? Katie felt... Scared a bit.  Katie looked at Clara... Thought she was the youngest, she was still taller then Katie.  Clara and Mirza wern't from here. So if they wanted too, they could leave...

Chapter Two - Page 2 Empty Re: Chapter Two

So, this was that big moment, then? They were all ready to pack up and go fight the big fight? They've been at Farwyn for a while now, without any issues besides the one they had been hired to eradicate. She had stumbled upon Tuvera's request completely by accident, but if it wasn't for it, she could still be running from Carter, from the bounty hanging over her head. She was grateful for this, for the opportunity to make friends and fight for innocent people. Clara never felt so free before, and it was scary. They could pursue these Acolytes and bring them down, bring safety to the land. Could they really, though? Maybe it was silly to doubt herself.

They've done seemingly impossible things before, surely this would be no different. Clara watched the wizard approach Mirza, give him a speech that was most likely a farewell. The words seemed to fill the runaway prince with a new sense of passion, the urge to continue fighting for what he believed in. The young assassin wasn't expecting any words directed towards her, but the Wizard didn't pass her, in fact he looked her in the eye and said the things that lingered in the darkness of her soul the most.

And they were true. It struck a nerve, but it lit a fire inside the girl, and she was determined as ever. Whatever happens, she's sticking with Mirza and Katie until they part ways. Until then, she will be eternally grateful for this. Experiencing things she never imagined when she was younger. "Yes," Is all she manages to respond with, a little speechless that the eccentric Wizard had so calmly said words like that to her.

This time, when the familiar pull of teleportation began, it felt bittersweet. Tuvera had simply asked them, instead of offering the task as a job. So, they had the option to do it; and Clara already knew where she stood. She would go wherever this 'winded cobblestone' took her. It would only make sense to follow it until she reached the last stone.

The teleportation was still affecting Olrick even as the tall blue one gave his speeches. Not only that but Olrick's muscles had started to ache as the adrenaline started to work its way out of his system. It wasn't too much longer before Olrick was leaned back against a wall, his shield propped up next to him. At this point it was lucky for the others that he had a sense of modesty or else he would have pulled his armor off completely and left himself standing in nothing but a loin cloth.

The blue man's words were hard to ignore, probably because of the way he said it in such a stern tone. Does this guy ever have fun? Olrick had only been half listening, mostly because he wasn't sure how any of this could pertain to him, however the word dragon came to rear it's ugly head. "Woah woah woah....a dragon cult? What's more a Black Dragon cult? Yer sendin' em to almost certain death. The only thing 'arder to reason with than a red dragon is a bleedin' black one!" He pipes up finally, pushing himself from the wall. He didn't like the sound of any of this, but a feeling of pride that had been locked away from his training with the Order rose in him as Tuvera spoke to him of being brave and noble. Though his heart sank when the blue one told him his shield would be needed.

After a moment's thought he sighs and looks towards Tuvera, waiting for him to finish dishing out praises to everyone. In the following silence he makes his decision clear. "Imminent danger....small chance of success....dragons....hell, what are we waiting for?" As he speaks his eyes shift from one side of the room to the other, his hands held up, palms up as though to make an offer "I could use a bit of an adventure"

Chapter Two - Page 2 Empty Re: Chapter Two

Post by Niro Celeste Tue Nov 11, 2014 8:13 pm

Niro barely had time to process everything that was going on.

One moment, he had just went from fighting a mage opponent, to Tuvera's keep, and then what looked like the edge of Town.

Niro consciously blinked his eyes as he accustomed himself, patting himself down. He was outffited with brand new leather armor; black as night, and his bag and pockets were filled to the brim with materials, food, and necessary accessories.

As Niro was checking his inventory, he finally noticed he was not alone. The group that he had fought with earlier had accompanied him.

"This must be an important matter, to have such a large party." Niro thought as he looked to the gathered.

He looked towards the bronzed man, Mirza, and the tall broad shouldered Olrick; he had already met these two. They seemed friendly enough. he was easily glad to have them on his side,

Niro's gaze settled on the two young women before him and he froze. He instantly felt himself start to perspire. His interaction with women, especially those near his "age" was extremely limited. Tuvera had told him numerous times on separate occasions that Women were one of the
most dangerous creatures in the world, stating that he rather fight the Swamp beasts of the Mak' Shana then have to deal with females. Tuvera being ever stoic, Niro could never discern if he was joking or serious. Any case, Niro would tread lightly.

The female closest to him had stunning hair that was a blonde with intermittent dark areas. As Niro followed her hair to her face, he finally caught a glimpse of her eyes. Her piercing green eyes chilled Niro to the core. Her gaze hid a pain, or dangerous intelligence. Niro uncomfortably and quickly shifted his gaze to the woman beside her. Her Hair was as jet black as his armor, he moved to her light blue eyes, which held a soft innocence that Niro felt he had witnessed before, but couldnt fathom where, or when.

Niro Noticed that both women were somewhat short, but slim and petite, and were equally beautiful. To be in a party with one beautiful maiden was lucky enough, he didnt know what to call himself with two standing before him.

Niro grew red with embarrassment as he caught himself staring at the women, and quickly came back to earth.

"I believe our introductions were ended prematurely,"he said to the ladies, as he gave a brief smile.

Niro performed a deep but quick bow to them as he introduced himself,

"I am Niro Celeste," Niro calmly finished as he snapped up to face them.

He paused, gathering his thoughts. He didnt want to mess this whole thing up.

"I recall what my Master Tuvera said to us all, but personally I am never one to assume."

He paused again, this time for theatrics.

"Would you all have me as your Wizard?" Niro questioned sincerely.

Chapter Two - Page 2 Empty Re: Chapter Two

Post by Mirza Tue Nov 18, 2014 3:54 pm

Mirza hardly noticed the teleportation. It had become a common way to travel for him in recent days. He wondered if Niro could teleport people. That could be useful. Mirza felt empowered. Tuvera sure had a way with words, but then Mirza had never met a man who was so obsessed with knowledge. Mirza landed softly and found himself returning to the courtyard where they had fought the marauders earlier. The sorcerer was still encased in ice and the actual town guard had began to remove the bodies. Anta had found some bread and was happily (at least as happy as Anta can get) stuffing his face.

Mirza noticed Olrick and smiled as he spoke. "Oh yeah big guy. And in case you didn't hear Tuvera, I live for this stuff."

Mirza placed his hands atop his head and smiled confidently as he observed what Niro had to say. Niro seemed a bit nervous. Mirza wondered if the elf got out much. He hadn't known of Niro's existance until today and yet he had known Tuvera for a month and been in and out of the tower multiple times. He guessed that Niro live mostly in the tower, similar to how Mirza had lived in the palace in Al' Rasheed. The difference here was that Tuvera was a kind man and understood the value of freedom.

"Would you all have me as your Wizard?" Niro finished.

"Hey," Mirza said with a slight hand motion "If you are half as smart as Tuvera, then you are already smarter than everyone here, so you're in" Mirza paused for dramatic effect "Wizard."

Mirza stepped forward and patted Niro's shoulder reassuringly.

"Soooooo." Mirza said, returning to his relaxed position with his hands on his head. "Looks like everyone is in. I guess we have a second wave to prepare for and a wizard to see in Talc? Any suggestions town guard?"

Katie took one more look around before a flash of light blinded her.  When Katie opened her eyes again she was at the battle scene.

" lovely..." She whispered as she looked at the frozen horse and bald headed man. She then noticed the apprentice looking at her and Clara. He started to introduce himself. Katie then sighed and rolled her eyes, putting one hand up then turning away. She wasn't the
One for giving names.

She then looked around.
" ranger?" Katie spun around in circles. Panic swelled up in her. She then spotted the stable and sprinted over to it. She stood in the door way, Ranger was being fed happily by a little elf girl. Katie watched Ranger perked his ears and oh so gently took the... APPLE PIE?!

Katie put her face in her hands
" oh maker help me" she giggled. The stallion finally got his pie he has been begging for forever. The girl
Giggled as his muzzle tickled the palm of her hand. The little girl smiled then sighed.
" sorry I don't have anymore pie" she patted the horse's head then turned and stared at Katie

" oh I'm-" she started but Katie smiled and shook her head
" oh no, it's fine" she smiled. Then the girl
Did something that most people don't do. She wrapped her arms around Katie's waist. Katie stood shocked her
Eyes wide. She then returned
The hug after the small shock was gone.

" thank you for bringing my sister home" the girl whispered then skipped away. Katie smiled after the girl hen walked over to ranger and took his halter and lead him out of the barn. Watching him as he walked.
He limped. But slightly. She looked at the group then at ranger.
"  kinda nervous about these new people." She confessed to ranger then lead him to the group and stood next
To Mirza then shrugged when he asked for suggestions.

Chapter Two - Page 2 Empty Re: Chapter Two

The young assassin regains her senses, blinking slightly at the group that had somehow managed to form. Clara could feel eyes staring intently at her, causing a feeling of curiosity to make her turn her gaze in Niro's direction. He looked.. flustered, but she wasn't exactly sure why. Was it the teleportation? Wouldn't he be used to such a thing? She discarded the thought when he introduced himself, quite formally, she noticed.

Katie didn't seem to have any interest in getting to know one another, and Clara sighed at the archer. The young assassin huffs at her friend, rolling her eyes in mock exasperation. "She'll warm up eventually," Clara assures, glancing back to the apprentice with a softer expression on her face. "I'm Clara. That was Katie. It's an honor." She nods her head when Niro rises from the deep bow, attention shifting to Mirza, who had stepped into the conversation as well.

"I think we should leave now. If we get to Talc quickly enough, we can watch for the next attack and prepare for it." It was the logical thing to do. It's what Clara wanted to do, but it was merely a suggestion at the most. She was content with the group's decision. They were much stronger, and wiser now.

Clara was also eager to leave the woods. A huge city. A large expansion of territory between here and wherever Carter might be lingering. That made a chill run down her spine, but ignored it in favor of calling for Estelle, the silver mount that had trotted off somewhere during the battle.

"However, I'm okay with whatever we decide on." Clara adds, pausing to whistle for her mount. The horse takes a moment to appear, but Estelle canters out of an alley and makes her way to the assassin. Clara grabs the reins once she's close enough, giving the horse a pat on the neck.

The blue one was crafty, Olrick hadnt realized that the group had already teleported them back to the courtyard...all this and STILL no pint. Olrick groans in frustration and shakes his head "Just one...that's all I ask is just one bleedin pint." he utters more to himself than anyone around him.

It wad Niro what brought him back to the here and now. "Never been one to like magic but it has its uses. I have no argument to a wizard among us" he shrugs his heavy shoulders before looking towards the one called Mirza "Aye I heard. I've seen yer style as well. Impressive if not reckless"

With that he sets his thoughts to what could be done about wave number two of the raiders, ignoring the younger womans departure "We stop them with a wall of steel before they can enter the town"

Chapter Two - Page 2 Empty Re: Chapter Two

Post by Niro Celeste Wed Jan 07, 2015 1:03 pm

Niro grinned Nervously, Clara was friendly enough it seemed, while The Archer named Katie simply ignored him. Niro chalked it up to him being the newest member, and pushed the sudden snub from his mind, now was not a time for his feelings to be hurt.

Everyone included their own voice on how they should stop the next wave of Raiders coming to seize the town, Niro decided to voice his idea.

"I..I have an idea, but it's risky," he Paused, he had thought of the plan when they were meeting with Tuvera.

Tuvera's Library in the tower was extensive, and as His Apprentice, Niro was tasked with the reading of most if not all of those texts. So Niro usually read in his free time between lessons and meals, as there wasnt really much else to do. In theses texts were mystical adventures of another time, cook books, instruction manuals, and books about War and Death. Niro particularly enjoyed the books about ancient warfare and tactics, and even considered himself a novice Tactician, having memorized most of the Wartime Strategy from archaic Generals and Commanders.

Niro would not admit it to anyone, but when he dreamed, he usually saw himself as a General leading his force into the Fray, fully expecting victory. Niro sometimes felt he was born in the wrong era.

He spoke to the group again,

"A frontal assault could be too dangerous and bloody, I believe a more subtle approach is needed."
He paused again for effect,
when did he get so dramatic all of the sudden, Niro thought to himself, he again pushed that form his mind.

"I know the surrounding forests around the town very well, I gather supplies from the area. There is a small town North west 6 miles from here, we can assume the Raiders will stop there to Recoup before they attack, I saw we surprise attack them First."

Niro continued, with a serious look upon his face.

"Are you all familiar with Guerrilla Warfare?"

Mirza placed his hands on his head and looked over his comrades. The flood of possible strategies came in quick. The people before him were all strong and had good points.

Mirza smirked as he shifted his eyes over the group. "I like what Niro has going. Lets head out and meet the attackers before they reach Farwyn town. We can hopefully hit them long before they realize whats happening."

Mirza casually walked over to Anta, who still seemed to be quite pleasant. It was odd for the camel to be so submissive, but Mirza was not one to question it. He mounted the beast atop its sole hump and gave the command to move out. Mirza slung his Siyah over his shoulder and looked to his companions. "Lets hit them hard and fast. I'm not sure what a Guerilla is though."

Katie patted ranger's neck, she looked at her mount. he looked at her back and curled his lips into a smile. Katie giggled at her horse before tilting her head at him.
"will you be able to carry me and our stuff?" she asked, taking his halter and staring  into his crystal blue eyes.

~Of course i can... anything for my master..~ he nuzzled her. the girl smiled and then turned to Mirza.
"I like what Niro has going. Lets head out and meet the attackers before they reach Farwyn town. We can hopefully hit them long before they realize whats happening." Mirza had said. katie narrowed her eyes. Guerilla warfare, oh fun.

The black haired girl watched Mirza mount his camel, then looked over at Clara, giving her a face, like really then shook her head as she looked back at Mirza rollin her eyes when he said he wasnt sure what a Guerilla warfare, blowing a strain of hair out of her face.
"Really Mirza? A guerilla warfare a small group of  a small group of armed people, who ambush, sabotage and do hit and run like tactics...." Katie thought about the Ambush part... that she could do. She then felt a nudge from ranger

~Smart ass~ he narrowed his eyes.
"what? he didnt know what is was!" she explained to the stallion
~mm kay~ he rolled his eyes then turned walking away pulling his lead out of her hand.
"Excuse you! where are you goin?!" katie placed her tan hands on her hips before following the stallion back into the barn.

It's kind of nostalgic, Clara can't help but think of this new mission that way. More people to save, another evil to slay. It makes the young assassin much prouder than when she was the Royal Army's property. Guerrilla Warfare wasn't exactly a topic of choice back in the Academy, but with Katie's explanation, Clara more or less understood. With the plan have been decided on, Clara lifted the cloak's hood over her head and mounted Estelle, the familiar press of her crossbow on her back and the silver dagger sheathed away safely. The young assassin could appreciate Niro's seriousness, and Olrick's bravery. It was lucky that they had somehow gotten involved as well.

"I'm ready," She murmurs, fiddling with her mount's reins, distracting herself. Going to a different town meant the plan was already in motion, didn't it? Clara's green eyes narrowed. She'd just have to be more alert is all. Everything would be fine.

With Mirza's signal to move out, the young assassin's head swiveled toward's Katie, who was arguing with Ranger, both walking in the completely opposite direction. Clara let out a sigh, and let out a low whistle, having learned that from the archer during their hunting sessions. raised an eyebrow at the horse and his rider. "Hey, you two coming?"

Post by Olrick Stormgard Fri Feb 13, 2015 9:28 am

Olrick scoffed. Sure Guerilla tactics were useful against the odds they faced, but he was a man of honor, believing that the best way to face a threat was head on, not from the shadows. "Feh. Dunno if yeh noticed, but I'm not exactly equipt ta be sneaky. Though I will set the ambush. Stop them on the trail, when they set to attack me, you lot spring yer trap" it was true, heavy armor was not meant for subtly and his size was the same.

He stretches a bit before giving a nod and setting off to follow the others. He didn't quite like the idea of resorting to hit and run tactics, but given the composition of the group he couldn't complain. Surely two ranged attackers would do best striking from the shadows, even a wizard regardless of his skill would do the most amount of damage when the enemy least expect. The swordsman would do well by his side, though the young man's style contradicted Olrick's own severely. He would do his best to keep himself between the town and the raiders long enough for the attack to be sprung.

Niro looked on as the trio strolled on ahead with their steeds, leaving only him and the armored companion he had just met. Niro sighed to himself, he didnt know where that sudden outburst of confidence and leadership had come from, he wasnt even used to talking to strangers, let alone a group of them. He rubbed his shoulder subconsciously, kneading the area of his injury, it still somewhat stung, but it didnt feeling like a normal pain, it felt somewhat arcane. Niro pushed his uneasiness aside, and focused on the sudden task at hand.

Before Olrick could oppose, Niro placed his hand on the large man's shoulders, and in an instant had teleported them to the next town.

The horrid Smell hit his noise before he even opened his eyes, it was rank. As Niro opened his eyes, he knew he had misjudged his "jump".

They had landed in the Towns Stables.
